HecticArt Wonderful Architecture Work

That's just crazy. $20,472 per square foot. $24,0012 per month for the HOA....... that's twenty four thousand .......AND $12!!!!!
It's kind of cold for my tastes. I'd rather be on one of the middle floors so that you can see more of what's going on down in the streets.
There are a couple in that building that are around $16 mil that look like they would be more comfortable.

You're thinking of the engineers. They are the ones that keep the buildings from falling down.
We just try to make em look good.

The video is pretty interesting. The super-slim, air rights, and incentive zoning (or whatever they called it) are all standard things I'm used to, but all combined with the other stuff says a lot about how stupidly expensive those properties are.

It's fun to sit in a bar or restaurant that high, but for an apartment, I'd rather be around the 30th floor. It's more fun to have some connection to the streets and other buildings. Being mixed in with the lights and other buildings is more interesting to me.

If you are jumping from the window, the splat you make is roughly the same from the 30th floor and the 80th. Not sure what other connection to the streets you would have.

While I don't necessarily condone attacking architects with icepicks, I can understand this guy's mindset.
I could design a really great electric electric chair for that ungrateful scumbag.

I wasn’t thinking so much about the connection of concrete to cranium, but more about keeping in touch with the energy and vibe of the neighborhood around you. What good is an address in a prime neighborhood if you don’t experience the neighborhood?

These guys get the experience of being in the neighbourhood by having an address in the neighbourhood.

It doesn’t surprise me that they said that some of them have been purchased by people that have never even been in the building. When you have stupid money like that, you do stupid things.

Fortunately, that’s one kind of stupid I won’t ever be accused of.

But that is not the experience these guys are looking for.
Also agreed. They buy these places for the bragging rights and are thinking they will be able to turn a profit.
I thought that it was interesting that the video said that those properties are losing value because there are so many being built, and there are so many that are empty.
