The person refusing to obey the government orders.Who's ethics or morals?

That makes no sense. For example, I have a huge beef with those who use use 1st amendment rights to do things that I think are morally wrong, like those Westboro Baptist church shitheads who show-up at funerals and make a spectacle. Or people who stand in front of women's health clinics and say nasty things to those entering. Or a parent who comes to a kids' school play packing heat. Or telemarketers who try to separate people from their money. Or Lyndon LaRouche supporters who setup in the parking lot of my town's post office, displaying huge posters of Obama with a Hitler mustache.I agree that everyone has an obligation (not just a right) to refuse to obey government orders that violate their ethics/morality.

In each of these instances, I'd like to do something about them, but there are laws prohibiting me from doing so. If I violate those laws, I'll be thrown in jail.
I think she's doing exactly what she ought to do. She's standing up and saying what the government asked her to do is wrong. It isn't wrong, but she thinks it is. History is too full of people taking the easy way out. I'd rather put up with BS like Kim Davis than Auschwitz. The important thing here isn't what she wants to do or not do, it's what the law says the duties of her job are.
She should request a transfer of some sort or another if the revised terms of her responsibilities are not in alignment with her beliefs.
You're a funny person. What the gov't asked her to do was approved by the US supreme court - not the same thing as an unsanctioned death camp. This hyperbolic bullshit of comparing everything (Obamacare, taxes, Planned Parenthood) to the Holocaust has got to stop. It's incredibly offensive to those affected by it.I think she's doing exactly what she ought to do. She's standing up and saying what the government asked her to do is wrong. Bush/Cheney asked thousands of our troops to die or get maimed, all for a fallacious war. And none of them had the option of abstaining without consequence.
Kim Davis did not have to do anything that violated her stupid, made-up "morals"; all she had to do was resign and find a different job. The government wasn't forcing her to be a clerk. I'm sure every one of us can name many laws, rules, and regulations with which we morally or ethically disagree (as I stated above). There are two ways to respond - avoidance and protest. She could have picketed the Supreme Court, but instead, she decided to obstruct the law, which cannot be tolerated. What if people physically obstructed gun purchasers, or women getting abortions, or people entering a mosque, or a group of minorities trying to vote? Their asses would be in jail, just like hers was.
I don't believe you understand the holocaust correctly, but that's a discussion for another time. I see the point you're trying to make. You just happened to have used an analogy that's very much overused in a callous way.Calm down. I'm not using hyperbole. I'm saying everyone has an obligation to refuse to carry out government orders that violate their morality and/or ethics. If people would have done that, Auschwitz wouldn't have happened.
So you're saying that you want to see naked pictures of Kim Davis? I suggest you watch that Carl's Jr commercial 5 times, take 2 aspirin, and get some rest. Was there a link to naked photos of Kim Davis posted above somewhere? Because I really don't want to read all that crap again in case I missed it.
She is an elected official. You can't fire her.She should be removed from her job for neglecting her duties.
Personally, I think jail is ok for her.
Typically, to allow people to have their religious freedom, you can't fire them or force them to do something contrary to their beliefs. This becomming law after she got hired, would mean that they shouldn't be able to fire her, but they could offer her a job that doesn't conflict with her beliefs. I think she's hoping to get fired to make bigger headlines to promote her cause and to go after a monster lawsuit.
They simply removed her authorization from the form, problem solved. She claims it's not legal, because she doesn't want her 15 minutes of fame to end, but it is legal. Game's over.Yeah, we talked about that above somewhere.
So I go back to jail time for her for breaking the law.

Hahaha I don't know who to root for on this one.
Do these people have any idea of how stupid they look?
