Gay News

Not sure whether to get angry at this, or just say Who the f**k cares? It's a kind of pitiful "last gasp" for a bunch of mental Neandarthals. Frankly, I wouldn't want to deal with any of these businesses in the first place, if they would have to be forced to provide a service that they don't want to.

I hope the NCAA pulls out, as well as the Indy 500 race. Would serve them right.

I try not to buy anything other than diesel in states like Indiana. They don't need my tax money going to support their backwards government.

I doubt IndyCar would do anything about it. Jim Nabors said last year was his last singing Back Home in Indiana. He lives in Hawaii, anyhow.

NASCAR won't move their race out of Indianapolis. It's their second highest revenue race behind the Daytona 500. They make millions from sponsorship.

Only is sponsors pulled out of any sports event in Indiana, would IndyCar & NASCAR think about pulling their races.

how do cemeteries get away with refusal of service? it commonplace to see a jewish or cathloic only cemetery and no one seems to care. they are businesses just like a wedding cake shop. how come no one complains about that?

They had a bill like this in Kansas come up about a year ago, and once the people heard about it, it went down in flames. Didn't they try this in Arizona too?

People who are Jewish or Catholic care. It's a religious institution, just like a church or temple. Should a Jewish temple be forced to preach Christianity? No. Should a priest be forced to marry a gay couple? No.

But a bakery is not a religious institution. They make cakes and sell them. Chick-fil-a is not a religious institution. They employ workers to make crappy fast food. See the difference?

I can't recall if Arizona did or not. I just know in 2008, Arizona voted down same sex marriage and pretty much banned it until it got overruled last year.

I'm a jew and I been to both and nobody had an problem. Beside one incident many years ago at a church, I was talking to couple of people and somebody asked me, 'Oh how come I am not married?" I simply said, I prefer not to get married yet, because I'm gay and quite a few people were shocked and started to trash me for what I am. It like I did a sin, so I simply didn't want to take their crap and told them to f*** off and walked out the place and never returned.

Religious institutions can't be forced to admit non-members. If a bakery wants to keep gays out it can make its own religion and say straight people are members. Same for race. We let religions do all kinds of crazy shit.

Except smoke pot, and you can only marry like three 10 year olds until they crack down.

Then I can't buy a special "baguettes magique"?

I think most people have been to both. If you attend friends' weddings, or their kids' religious services. Anyone can go sit in a pew or synagogue. But to be baptized, married, or buried in a religious place by a religious minister is only allowed by people of that faith.

Former CFO Now Unemployed, on Food Stamps After Viral Video - YouTube
(once again the video wont embed...ERRR!!!!!)

i saw a few articles about this guy earlier in the week and the 20/20 piece just aired.

hes a moron. how could he think it was a good idea to go yell at some poor girl making like $9 an hour? its not her fault corporate are a bunch of dicks. when he goes on about his firing they only talk about how hes tried to get jobs comparable to the one he had. im pretty sure he could go to best buy or costco and get a gig. i dont think he should have to pay for a dumb decision for the rest of his life but he did do it all to himself. oh and they show videos he made with his kids in the piece. if i were him id just make a blanket rule that im not videoing anything every again.

oh and the whole reason hes on the show to begin with is cause hes promoting a book he wrote. so hes now keeping his dumb decision in the spotlight and trying to make money from what became his sob story.

also, when did 20/20 become such a crappy rag like program? i havent seen it in years but i remember the hugh downs/barbara walters days where it was a respectable news program.

I saw the 20/20 story too, and came to the same conclusion. He's got Sarah Palin syndrome; just get out of the limelight, get a regular job, and go away. Anything else, and it's your own damn fault.

Nowadays, shows like 20/20, Dateline, 48 hours, and Primetime are mostly just low-cost filler programs. They air multiple times a week, and often spend 2 hours on a "murder mystery" that could easily be covered in 15 minutes. The only program with any integrity left is 60 Minutes.
