DRC Madness #42

Pardon me, just so I'm sure. The unmadness is a tabulation and analysis of our rankings while the madness is like college basketball. And we are doing the unmadness this time not the madness

We are going to do the unmadness first. The madness will follow. Wolf will either take the full 762 or the nearest multiple of 2 (512) and do the madness.

I'm not doing a 762 or 512 bracket madness.

It will probably take this long to do it.

I'll probably keep it simple, since this Madness taking a bit longer then normal. I'll probably use somewhere between the top 64 or 128 songs from the unmadness. Thanks again IRBS, for doing this.

In the meantime, I'll probably finish setting up Madness #43 Fictional Horror Movie Characters which has been set off the side for couple of years now.

First you call me coward and now Queer?

Doing a 512 or 768 bracket tournament would be complete madness. If I still had my old job, then yeah, I’d probably have the time for it.

But now I’ve been at my new position for several months, and I absolutely love it. It’s been keeping me very busy, which is a great thing. Plus, I have the opportunity to travel to different places and visit various job sites, which has been a really cool perk of the new position.

Dire Straits is definitely a late 70s/ 80s band to me. Those songs came out many years later. I like Heavy Fuel, but not enough for me.

Most of the Dire Straits songs I have are 4 or 5*. These ones are on the same album as "The Bug" which I also have as a 4*. 3* songs for me and since I am ranking 3* songs, I am including them. I think this was Dire Straits last album (1991) and certainly not the same quality. It was also the direct followup to "Brothers In Arms" and it is clear they tried to do something different (same as "Tusk" for Fleetwood Mac).

This is a later Mark Knopfler song that would be on my list, except it came out in 2006. BTW, the song title pre-dates the TV show title.
