We've been in the low 80's for a week or so now and the next 10 days look to be low 70's to low 80's with sunshine too.
It's awesome out!.

I got a bunch of yard-work done over the last couple of days.

I'm good with this trend. (The weather....not the yard-work.)

The weather been nice here for the past few days. It's mainly been raining, the temps will go back up by end of the week at least in the 90s.

81 degrees here in southern NH. Beautiful!
Just a fantastic weekend, and at the right time for us. Saturday was the annual "Farm Party" in our area, with live bands, kegs of beer, barbecue grills, and pick-your-own flower garden. Mrs. Scotch manned the info table for the Land Trust where she's a board member. This event takes place in the vast backyard of a couple who puts this whole thing on every year. Here's the music stage, with a great classic rock & blues band playing.

Then Sunday was (as sadchild said) in the 80s. So we paddled the York river.

I managed to get a shot of a great blue heron taking flight.

That looks like a fantastic weekend.

Mine was a productive weekend. I finally, five weeks after the boy is away at college, have my garage back. It is no longer an electronics dumping ground.

Also visited the in-laws for a few hours, just to visit because we hadn't in a quite a while. I whooped ass at Scrabble.

Two things:
- On the occasion that we have a family get-together and play Scrabble, I'm always biting my tongue. Because I know all these "legal" words, like "qi", and "ag", and "vu" that I'd play if I was on Words with Friends; but if I use them for a friendly family game, they'll get pissed at me. I also know things like using a high-value letter on a bonus tile to make a word in 2 directions. It's just not fair.

- This seems to be more prevalent in New England, but there are 2 types of people: 1) Those who actually use their garage for their daily cars; and 2) Everyone else. So many people fill their garages with crap, and then they have to leave their cars out. It makes no sense to me.

Same. But from May-Sept, I allow it to become a hoarder's paradise..... as long as I get it back every October. One year I didn't get it back, so I shoved everything over to my wife's side and left it there. It stayed there all winter. Whatever.
words, like "qi", and "ag", and "vu"
The 35 point round I got above was with "Qi", but before laying down the tiles, we had already established that "if it's in the Scrabble dictionary, you can play it" on someone else's turn. So I said, "Is this in the dictionary?" The answer was "Yes". So I played it. Bottom left corner Triple-Word.
