We both forgot about NFL Game Pass.

At first I too signed up for the Hulu, Disney and ESPN package but I will never watch the ESPN part. I don't really watch ESPN besides MNF anymore and there is no app for ESPN+ on my TV. So I figured out that buying Hulu w/no ads (monthly payment) and Disney+ (a year's worth at once) turns out to be slightly cheaper than the bundle of Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+.

Best Freebies: Tubi, Roku Channel, Pluto, YouTube Videos, Peacock

Good call mentioning the freebies.

I watch a ton of Youtube.

With Comcast I get the middle tier of Peacock free. That is the one with the full library but also with ads. It's the first paid tier. I like it and mostly use it to watch Dateline, Lockup and Superstore.

Vizio has tons of free channels. I guess it's basically Pluto and some other stuff but they have it set up well as a "Vizio Free Channels" app on the home screen. I knew Pluto existed and had it on my phone before but never used it until now. One channel is only Bond movies. I've watched that one the most.

I also use the ad supported, free IMDb channel a lot. I watched most all of the LOST series on that and I also check out some movies on it. I watch it through the Prime app on the TV.

How bad are the ads on that? We've been watching "Schitt's Creek", but are out of episodes I own ( I got the first 3 seasons cheaply on Prime Video ). Last night we started the 4th season via the CW Feed app on Roku, & the ad load wasn't terrible. I know we could also watch it on IMDB, but I've never used it.

It's not ideal, but it's about the same as most streaming ad supported services...much better than normal TV, no more than 90 seconds of ad breaks at a time I think, and sometimes less than that. Something like 5 mins of ads per episode of LOST.

We had Disney for about 3 months, Also had ESPN Plus and Starz for about two years.
Have yet to try Apple
We got Apple TV+ for The Morning Show with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. We finished the 2 seasons within a month, but we couldn't cancel before paying for another month. There's no 3rd season yet.

Today I signed up for the free trial of HBO Max. It sucks that Vizio doesn't have an app for it yet so I have to either cast it or run it through the Series X to watch it on TV. I wanted to check out the show Doom Patrol. I'm not even finished the first episode yet but so far, not so good. I doubt I'll be paying for Max.

The Film Vault, my favorite movie podcast, constantly praises Starz for their vast movie collection. I may check out the free trial at some point.

That show looked ok but so far there hasn't been enough for me to consider trying Apple TV+ yet.

Since I'm into movies, not series, I've been making my way through the free trials.

In 7 free days of Starz I watched like 25 movies. I'm still in the Showtime 30 day trial. Last week I started the HBO Max trial. There's so many movies I want to see I'll go past the trial and pay for a month.
