Concerts you have attended?

The weather was nice enough tonight that the library had the music concert outside at the outdoor stage. They had two folk groups. The second group ended with "Summertime" and "Falling Leaves". It was just as entertaining watching all the young kids running and jumping around the aisles. One boy was very naughty. He threw some sticks at his Mother and ran on the stage and knocked out some of the wires. The stage is not lifted. In in all, a good venue of soft music at sunset to close today's activity away from home
 
Attended another concert Tuesday evening hosted by the city at one of the parks. It was a group advertised as Blue Grass band, but they were saying they were not Blue Grass band. One sad moment was seeing two little dogs that reminded me of the schnauzer brothers in our neighborhood. One of the schnauzers passed away last month and it just does not seem the same with just the one running around. It was still a good evening of relaxing music
 
Went to see Tommy Stinson last night. Interesting setup for a show - he's touring with an opener & a whole band, but it wasn't segmented like it usually is. The opener ( Karla Rose ) came out for a few songs, then Tommy came out & did a few with her. The she took off momentarily & Tommy played several acoustic on his own. Then Karla rejoined him for a couple more. During the last song of that batch, the live band came on stage & everyone launched into the next tune without interruption. His live band is called Little Venom, & they're from Seattle. And they absolutely blew me away with their energy & joy. You could tell Tommy was having a blast playing with these "kids" probably half his age ( he'll be 60 later this year ). After several tunes with everyone on stage, Tommy bugged out, & the remainder of the show was just Little Venom.

Whole thing ended up being about 2.5 hours...and man, I'm feeling it today. Ha ha...
 
My day at the State Fair on Sunday was nice. We saw the Pig's Races and picked up a lot of knacks. We saw different bands, I heard Glenn Miller, "My Maria" and "Thriller" in passing plus many more. The main free stage had a group "Kate Voiss and the Hotsauce" They used horns and they played lots of 60's and 70's. I particularly liked the version of "Caravan" and "These Boots Are Made for Walking" they mixed in the Peter Gunn Theme song and said they mixed in some Metallica. It was good. Next Saturday it is already time for my "Happy Together Tour" concert

As I mentioned a while back, Mrs. Scotch once had a client with a pair of schnauzers she called the "schnauzer sisters". One of them passed, and then for some time she would occasionally walk just the one. But now, both are gone.

That's sad too. The schnauzers in our neighborhood had been here since we had the house built. They were cute to watch barking at everything in sight on walks. They would scare the bigger dogs and even had a standoff with the cranes earlier in the summer. I was snooping from the window.
It is easy to get attached. We had a little Doberman Chihuahua that would visit the house and would not let me do anything and I loved it.
Now one of our neighbors just adopted a cute little brown dog and it barks when it sees me in the backyard. I think it likes me. As I say: I love dogs as long as they belong to someone else
 
My 2026 Happy Together Tour in the Wisconsin Dells on Saturday evening

The Cowsills opened and like last year, people were coming in late and were blocking my view of Susan Cowsill:mad:. They should be more prompt
The Vogues came next and were great. Then Ron Dante sang "Tracy" and "Sugar Sugar" The Fortunes were new and opened with "Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again" and finished with Beatles "Twist and Shout"
Then came Intermission. I darted straight to the restroom before the older guys got there. While my Sweetie moved pretty fast and got us some popcorn for the 2nd half of the show.
Gary Puckett opened the 2nd session. Then the surprise of the day was Jason Schneff, former replacement of Peter Cetera with Chicago, was in the lineup. He sang "Saturday in the Park" "Feelin Stronger Everyday" "If You Leave Me Now" and "25 or 6 to 4"
Then the Troggs came on and were outstanding and The Association were even better, they opened with "Windy" then "Never My Love"
"Cherish" and "Along Comes Mary" Then Ron Dante came back to sing The Turtles "Happy Together" And then all the acts came out for the finale. Nobody wanted to leave but we all left to get home before it got dark, so we were safe back in town. Lots of fun
