Yes, one of the storylines was were to put all those people, between Gander and the surrounding towns. Also, there was a bus driver's strike going on.

Well, my son loves this band. I signed up for the artist pre-sale. The tickets were reasonable. And he is buying his own. So we are going to see the Twenty-one Pilots again (4th time, 3 in Toronto, 1 in Columbus). This time at an outdoor arena. My son noted that this is their first tour that they don't have a show in Columbus, OH their hometown. Usually they have 2 or 3. But they will be in Toronto.

Goose is playing their first ever arena solo tonight and it's MSG. Marking your career growth to headlining arenas solo with MSG is pretty awesome.
There's this site nugs.net that streams a whole bunch of live acts so I'm watching it now. Phish is also playing in Austin right now, but I decided to watch this Goose show because I think it's probably more important to see their first ever arena show. So far it's been really good.
The nugs site was 20 bucks for 4 months of access (as opposed to Phish which is like 25 bucks per show) and they have a shit ton of jam bands I dig that they stream live. So I'll get my money's worth out of that and I set a reminder to cancel it on October 27th.

I'm watching Phish from Folsom Field at CU in Boulder Colorado. It's the second set so usually that's the one where they jam out more and they're like 10 minutes into a cover of Crosseyed and Painless and Trey just played Happy Birthday and then said into the mic Wu-Tang forever which is fucking funny as shit cause he wove it into the jam so it didn't really even break the flow. I had to look it up cuz I didn't know but apparently it's RZA's birthday today on July 5th.

This show was last night. The stadium is an outdoor stadium. I of course chose the cheapest seats which were not lawn seats so they were not covered. The bad news is there was scattered rain all night. The good news it was quite warm so the rain was refreshing. It was also never heavy. We ate at the stadium. I was able to enjoy a Jim Beam and Coke. Not Jim Beam Red Stag unfortunately. Once they sell out, even though they are in a Jim Beam grain elevator, they will be done. Stupid tariffs. It was good to enjoy it. I do miss JB & JD.
Some druggies were smoking. It was noticeable.
The crowd was very mixed. A lot of children. Perhaps for the opener. This was the first Weird Al show that I have been to that had an opener. I think this may have been the 4th time I have seen him. The first 2 times with my wife, the last 2 with my son. He did not join us for the first 2 as they were at a casino and the rules at the time were nobody under 19.

It is difficult to describe what I saw. He is a clown. He comes on stage with pre-recorded instrumentals. He provides the vocals. In the numbers which were preceded with "Who Wants To Help The Clown" he invited audience members up with him. The interactions were quite funny. I had watched the below two video clips prior to attending to see what I was getting in to. His actual presentations were funnier. The Gilligan's Island one had clips from "Waterworld" in the background. "My Heart Will Go On" had a montage of Kevin Costner movies and clips playing. It is interesting hearing the song sung to a Metalica style instrumental and vocal pitching.
I was expecting just to tolerate this but I actually enjoyed it. I likely won't go out of my way to see him again but if he winds up opening for someone I won't be disappointed.

I will cover the show and songs in the order above (skipping some not because they were bad but I don't have anything to say). He opened like he does with a lot of his shows. The band comes on stage and they play the intro for "Tacky". Then they cut to him outside the stadium walking and singing eventually making it to the stage. This creates the effect of everyone not knowing where he will enter from. Cool entrance. I have never heard "Mission Statement" but I have been in enough meetings and seen enough corporate announcements to thoroughly enjoy this. There were 2 drum solos in the show. They were each under 10 seconds (hilarious).
"Polkamania!" was a mashup of current hits turned into a polka. I didn't recognize any of the music. BUT he played the original video to each clip behind him sped up to the polka pace and it was hilarious seeing a lot of rather scantily clad ladies gyrating at a high rate of speed while listening to polka music. Between each song we watched various clips of Weird Al or where he was mentioned. During the clips Weird Al changed wardrobes for the next song. This brings us to the clips of 11 of his hits which he played in rapid succession and used a very funny assistant to change on the fly. I was a bit surprised he did "Canadian Idiot". I think this is the first time he has done it live at a concert I attended. It was well received.
"I Am Woman" was a request from the floor. He did it hilariously. Last show in Ohio he did "China Grove".
The encore set is pretty standard. He has done it or something similar in almost all of his shows. For "The Saga Begins" he brings out a whole bunch of Star Wars characters. He didn't actually leave the stage either for the encore. He just said do you want some more and people cheered and he continued.
The ride hope was challenging as the transit provider decided to cancel one of the trains after the concert. So got home really late. But a great concert. Really enjoyed it.

I can enjoy JB without 50 other people being bothered by it. Also, consumption of alcohol for someone 19 or older is perfectly legal at that venue. Although weed is legal, smoking it or cigs are not. Interestingly the nicotine addicts seemed to be able to control their addictions for 2 hours. And alcohol is also non-addictive (to those who are not alcoholics).

This may be the single dumbest sentence ever typed on a DRC forum. Why don't you count how many people are in alcohol rehab (millions) vs. marijuana rehab (zero)? How about the number of people killed by drunk drivers (millions) vs. stoned drivers (I don't have a stat on this, because stoned people drive slowly).
And yes, I can smell when thousands of concert goers are smoking pot; it's peaceful and relaxing. Drunk people at concerts are just loud, violent, and annoying. But my main beef with your take on this is this:
I can only guess that you had some childhood trauma involving people smoking pot, because you specifically refer to them as "druggies", while people who drink alcohol are regular people. I find this especially odd, as we're part of the generation who ushered-in the use of marijuana for creativity and relaxation, as an alternative to drinking.
Let me ask you this: why do you have to drink at concerts? You need your fix, and you can't wait?

I hate the smell of smoke -- any smoke (aside from wood smoke -- if someone was smoking a log I would not have any issue). I find lately the nicotine addicts tend to vape so that problem has disappeared. Pot smokers have not. If they took their drug by brownie or gummy bear I would have no issue. But the druggies are addicted because they can't wait 2 hours for their next hit and they don't give a fuck who else they inconvenience. For such a "non-addictive" substance, they show very strong addictive behaviour. But they don't think so. They are just relaxing.
Generally I have found pot smokers to be the most self-righteous self-centred assholes that I have ever come across (when discussing pot). They cannot conceive of any reason that smoking pot could be bad in any circumstance. Pot can be just as dangerous as alcohol while driving. And anybody who drives after doing either is an even bigger asshole. For my friends which do use, I don't bring up the subject because the discussion is always the same. They cannot conceive that their behaviour could be annoying or that they are doing anything wrong.
This particular venue has a Jim Beam vendor in a old style grain elevator. It is the only venue which I partake of a drink. I usually do it because I love their Jim Beam Red Stag and it is usually hard to find. This time I did it because Jim Beam is pretty rare up here these days. You cannot buy it anywhere. To find a place which still had some was a treat. So I had 1. A single. I didn't spill it on my neighbour or act drunk or disorderly. I didn't force my neighbours to smell it. And I did not drive for the next 5 hours. And unlike smoking anything, it is legal at the venue. I would like for you to point out how this harmed anybody else at the venue?

Just had this discussion with my son, who agrees with me on these.
I look at no drugs AND no alcohol as ideal.
I see people who occasionally drink (weddings, friends over for dinner, watching the world series with friends) as one small step down, but fine. I see casual drinkers (weekend beer drinkers) as another step down. I see regular drinkers (a couple beers after work most days, shots on the weekend) as bad. And alcoholics wrecking other people's lives as unacceptable.
I see needing a drug for a condition as a small step down from ideal but still fine. I see occasional recreational use as a step down. I see regular recreational use as bad. And addicts are unacceptable.

Maybe this is just where you live. A lot of pot smokers, from what I'm told by the few I know, have made the switch. I went to a concert with a friend who pot-vaped the whole time. I probably won't go to another concert with him, btw.
I believe pot is addictive. I had a friend who always said it's not addictive finally one day admit it was.

Back in the days where smoking anything at concerts was legal (I guess at the time pot would have been illegal) your point would be valid. But here in Ontario, smoking ANYTHING at a public event is ILLEGAL. And thus they are still assholes.
