KMG365 is the radio callsign assigned by the FCC to Station 127 of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Station 127, located in Carson, was used as the filming location for Station 51 on Emergency! In 1985, Station 127 was renamed the Robert A. Cinader Memorial Fire Station to honor the series' co-creator and producer. Station 51 was fictional – but in 1994, in tribute to the TV series, the Fire Department established a real Station 51 at Universal City in North Hollywood.

Tom is a friend-of-a-friend of sorts. I was friends with a guy who was a great drummer and local businessman in NH. We met in the first community band I was in. Back in his college days at Harvard, he was in a band with Tom Morello, and they remained friends until he (my friend) passed.
