There's a false report going around Facebook that John Amos (the father on 'Good Times') died.

Damn tough year.

In local news:
A local celebrity and pal of mine from back in the day passed away today.
Owner of Culture Clash Records dies at 61 - Toledo News Now, News, Weather, Sports, Toledo, OH
Back in the late 80's early 90's, I used to work in the same mall as his shop. We would grab beers after work, golfed on occasion, and shot the shit often. A truly nice guy and local icon that passed long before his time. He always helped me find new (and old) music, shared his vast knowledge, and hooked me up with a lot of free promo tapes and disks.

I don't expect anybody to recognize him for a second, but it seemed appropriate to offer a small tribute to him.

i don't know him but a friend of yours who was in the public eye of course deserves a second.

it's more fun when we joke about architects or getting deaths wrong. it's no good when it's someone known personally.

I will also second for the same reason Jon did. Sorry for your loss.
