I Can Help, which is not a country song, went to number one on Billboard's country chart in December 1974. Go figure! It also reached #6 on the adult contemporary chart. I Can Help was written by Billy Swan and has been recorded by more than 30 artists including Elvis Presley, Tom Jones, Patti Page, Loretta L:ynn, Aaron Tippin, Shakin' Stevens, T.G. Sheppard and the Bellamy Brothers. Here is a version by Jerry Lee Lewis, recorded on December 15, 1975 and not released until 1986 when it appeared on his 30th anniversary album, cleverly titled 30th Anniversary Album.

As Mister scotch points out, Must Of Got Lost is bad grammar. So is You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. Other 1974 songs with bad grammar are James Brown's Papa Don't Take No Mess, Lamont Dozier's Fish Ain't Bitin', Curtis Mayfield's Can't Say Nothin', Edwin Starr's Ain't It Hell Up In Harlem and the Rolling Stones' remake of the Temptations' Ain't Too Proud To Beg.

Carole King wrote Jazzman with Dave Palmer in April 1974. It was released as a single on July 18. Tom Scott played sax. Lisa Simpson and Bleeding Gums Murphy sang the song on the April 30 1995 "'Round Springfield" episode of The Simpsons. Brazilian jazz singer Fabiana Passoni recorded Jazzman in 2016 for an album titled Let Your Love Rise (Snicker snicker). Here is a live performance from the Spaghettini Italian Grill & Jazz Club in Seal Beach, California:

We did 1970 just 4 weeks ago. SXM please gain some competence.
This countdown is only 2 weeks off this one. And the 3rd 1970 countdown in the last 2 months. I pass on a separate commentary aside from the pointed barb at SXM programming department for their gross and complete incompetence..
