I believe that in at least one previous countdown, the song was listed with both names. So it wouldn't surprise me if they are inconsistent.

I have seen it listed the other way as well. On this countdown it was as I posted.

Casey did mention that the song was with Stevie Nicks on the AT40.

Also, I don't think the year end chart came directly from billboard site. So the conventions may be different. I looked at several charts through August & September, Stevie Nicks was not mentioned. When the song was on the radio in 1979, it also just was billed to just Kenny Loggins. I heard about Stevie Nicks later.

Joni Mitchell wrote and recorded Big Yellow Taxi for her 1970 album Ladies Of The Canyon. (The album title refers to the Laurel Canyon neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills. Mitchell and Graham Nash shared a home there from 1968 to 1970. Cass Elliot, Chris Hillman, Peter Tork, Stephen Stills, Frank Zappa, Jim Morrison, John Phillips, Michelle Phillips and many other singers lived in Laurel Canyon in the 1960s-70s.) Released as a single, Big Yellow Taxi stalled at #67 on the Hot 100 in August 1970, A live version recorded at the Universal Amphitheatre in Universal City reached #24 in February 1975.

Big Yellow Taxi has been recorded by more than 170 artists including Amy Grant, Bob Dylan, Nena, Keb' Mo', Rita Ora, Percy Faith, Sugar Beats, Big Country, the Neighborhood and Counting Crows/Vanessa Carlton.
