Boy, you gotta love the 33% increase I had to pay to renew my sub last week!

Wasn't there a limit on the amount of radio swaps you could do during the "lifetime" contract? I think you could only replace the radio twice? and then the "lifetime" sub was cancled. I have been though 4 or 5 radios since 2003.

3 swaps.

I think it is three, however if you can convince the call rep that it is a warranty swap, they should waive the swap.

They are being real pricks about that now. They say they only honour warrenties if you bought your unit through sirius.com.

And the warr only lasts what, a year? I wonder if they have ever canceled someones lifetime sub if they swaped 4 radios?

If and when I reach my max swaps, if they won't allow another, I would just add my new one as a family plan or just use it as a basis point to get the $3/month internet. If the old unit is refurbed, then the person getting it will get a free sub as I would have no intention or obligation to release the last ESN on my lifetime sub. How they deal with their returned/refurbed units is not my concern. They want to be dicks about transfers, I will be a dick about my last ESN.

Indeed. The music royalty fees are passed on. Sirius keeps all of the $12.95, instead of passing some of that money on.

The $2.99 is well worth it, as it also comes with a lot better SQ on all channels.

They may still have the "$77 for a year of Sirius Everything or XM Everything" promo.

Here was what I ended up with for two radios with "Best of" on both and internet listening:

Radio 1 - Sirius Everything + BOXM for 1 year 101.38 (Year of Sirius Everything is $142)
Radio 2 - Sirius Everything + BOXM for 1 year 65.57 (Year of Sirius Everything is $98)
Premium Internet for 1 year 32.71

Grand Total = $199.66 (Remember, I started out with two $55 gift cards and a bit of credit and I still have $10 or so in credit left. And, they gave me more credit for a situation I posted about in another thread.)

Regular price:
Radio 1 with BOXM for a year - $186.89
Radio 2 with BOXM for a year - $120.89
Premium internet for a year - $35.88

Grand Total = 343.66

I really paid $343.66 for a year of two radios?

--Howard Stern, probably.

Now it's ~50 for a year ($4/mo since late 2023) of everything the app offers. I also get one radio in a different car (a Christmas present) and they send me a Bluetooth device.
