critics...and for that matter a lot of the public didn't like it but i loved it. it's like if you take the quirky charm of a doctor who episode and add in very adult themes and dialogue you end up with chappie. plus it stars the two leads of die antwoord and while not the most amazing actors, they are always entertaining!

On Saturday I watch some horror/thriller movies both Ouija and Devil movie, which they weren't bad and on Sunday I finally got around to watch Saving Mr. Banks which was really good and finished off watching Mary Poppins.

Next weekend will be MCU films with #15 coming out Guardians of The Galaxy 2.

I also enjoyed District 9 and I have heard Neill Blomkamp wants to direct District 10 sometime in the future.

alien will be the first summer blockbuster i go see in the theater. i'll wait on GotG2 until i can watch it at home.

tight race this week. i like to check box office mojo throughout the weekend but i don't consider it official until i see the king's post here.

i have plans to see alien this thursday. i want to watch prometheus again first though.

I like the first 2 Aliens movies, the 2 were somewhat alright and Prometheus was really good. I heard reports of Alien: Covenant might not be great, but I'll wait when it comes to digital copy.

I already have my tickets for Pirates 5 this weekend.

i'm with ya except i didn't love the cameron movie. it was good, but i like the first one and prometheus more. so long as scott makes these movies i will keep going to see them.

Box office earnings are down this year compared to 2016. I think I read somewhere around 10% less.

On Box Office Mojo, this link below shows a comparison of 2012 through 2017.

Movie Box Office Year-to-Date Comparison - Box Office Mojo

Were about 1/2 way through 2017 and there still some major movies left to come out this year and of coarse there all mostly Disney movies.

The list below are some major and non-major movies that will earn some decent amount of money.
