Boneyard is Back!!!

And let's not forget Alice Cooper, Metallica and def Lep...

I recorded 5 hours on Boneyard:
Hour 1: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Alice Cooper, Metallica, Def Lep
Hour 2: Black Sabbath, Metallica, Def Lep
Hour 3: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper
Hour 4: Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Metallica, Def Leppard
Hour 5: Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest

UNBELIEVABLE

And this isn't even counting the 4 Aerosmith songs, 4 vanhalen songs and 3 ozzy songs..

Just like when I studied lithium and determined that EVERY OTHER song was from their top 15 bands, Boneyard is pathetic.

If I take the 9 bands mentioned above, they account for 29 songs over a 65 song stretch.

Add to my list the 3 Rush songs, and that is even worse than Lithium, nearly EVERY OTHER SONG comes from just TEN bands...

I do think the playlist has changed from when they first brought it back, and it is artist repetitive. but I think its a good change. More Maiden is better then more George Throrogood.

I'll bet you $100 that you can't listen to a continuous hour of Boneyard without hearing Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath or Judas Priest.

It's disgusting that they have so much material to select from, over 30 years of material, and repeat the same bands so much.
What bands would you like to hear that they aren't playing ?

Maiden, Sabbath, and Priest have huge libraries and if you can remember back to the old place, this is the kind of music people were saying should be getting played more on buzzsaw.

Your last two posts said it all... I'd rather this channel play more Sabbath and Judas Priest, instead of Bob Seger and Pat Benatar, which used to play on Buzzsaw.

It looks like the boneyard is adding the old shows back. They are bringing back bone clones this weekend. Hopefully the boneyard will add more specialty shows in the near future.

that sucks i want MUSIC! not some stupid radio show. this was my only good rock station now after they wrecked Octane

Good Morning form Indiana, now I am new to this board but have had Sirius for about 3 years and have to say that since the merger the music on the now Boneyard is just down right pathetic. They need to bring back Long Paul, Remi and Keith Roth. They always kept a good variety going 24 hours a day. The playlist has gone downhill big time. When trying to save an artist or song to the memory on my player it not possible on the Boneyard. There is no Grits and Gravy so the Southern stuff is left on the shelf. They play music that belongs on Hair Nation not the Boneyard. When The Boneyard started after the AC/DC was done not hardley any of the songs/bands I had in my memory were played, Stone Blue, Green Grass, Budgie, Fastway, just to name a few.
Now don't get me wrong I am not the only one listening but have to say that the selection has been piss poor. Bring back the playlists that were on Buzzsaw and things will pick up.
MORE: Satriani, Foghat, Hendrix, Aerosmith, (old) Nazareth, Molly Hatchet, Outlaws, Cream, Cry of Love, Deep Purple, Dio, Dream Theater, Edgar Winter, Fastway, Geat White, GNR, Iron Maiden, Zeppelin, Skynyrd, Rush, Rainbow, Riot, Budgie, Sammy Hagar, Scorpions, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, ZZ Top. Nugent.
Now I am not claiming to be the best man for the job but I could put a play list from the music I own that would KICK the butt of the stuff playing on The Boneyard........

Thank you for listening to my rant.

To each their own I guess, but i found Buzzsaw to be a complete mess. They had no idea what they were doing. Boneyard on XM served the purpose of both Hair Nation and Buzzsaw, and it has changed from the XM version, but its still miles better then what Buzzsaw was on Sirius.

I had enough once they added groups like Loverboy, Bob Seager, Joan Jett, 38 Special, ...etc no place for that crap on hard rock/metal channel.

I went camping last night and the choice of my friends was to listen to the BoneYard. Played some good tunes.
