Tampa is a young team. I used to play 2 games/day in the summer back when I was 19 yrs old (hell, I did it at 27, but no more). There is no such thing as tired when you're 22-23. Red Sox on the other hand....

Emotionally tired more than physically. I've seen it before. A couple of years ago the Cards beat a better Tigers team who had just had a tough series against the Yankees.
In 1987, the Tigers and Blue Jays had a fight to the finish and when the Tigers went on to face the Twins they had nothing more to give.
