I'm simply going with how Billboard credits the artist. And I suppose the artist as listed on the single release.

But no question her career with Heart makes her an icon, legend, etc.

Mike Reno is the lead artist on the Footloose one based upon that cover.

Not sure if Mike Reno released any other hits. Does that make him a OHW?

Mike Reno released only one other single, Whenever There's A Night. The song was written by John Dexter and Tom Whitlock and was included on the 1989 Dream A Little Dream soundtrack album. The B-side was an Otis Redding song, I've Got Dreams To Remember, which was recorded in 1967 and first released on the 1968 posthumous album The Immortal Otis Redding.

I'd call it equal billing. Someone's name has to come first.

As a solo artist, technically yes Mike's a OHW.

And not aging well. Willing to bet he got rid of his leather pants years ago. Only thing he's rockin' these days is the dad bod.

There are some advantages to being several sections back in the stadium. We were in back of the 300 section when Loverboy opened for Styx and REO Speedwagon. Regardless of his size, they still put on a good show.

Ann Wilson

Nancy Wilson too? Yes! ... But not THAT Nancy Wilson

Nancy (Sue) Wilson
#11 "You Don't Know How Glad I Am"
#29 "Face It Girl, It's Over"

Nancy Sue Wilson (February 20, 1937 – December 13, 2018) was an American singer whose career spanned over five decades, from the mid-1950s until her retirement in the early 2010s. She was especially notable for her single "(You Don't Know) How Glad I Am" and her version of the standard "Guess Who I Saw Today". Wilson recorded more than 70 albums and won three Grammy Awards for her work.

No clue. Zero hit wonder? Unless you're really into old soul and jazz?

Looks like a new guy took over and ate the original lead singer.

Night
#17 "If You Remember Me"
#18 "Hot Summer Nights"

Before this, Chris Thompson's previous band Manfred Mann just BARELY avoided the two-hit wonder label...
#1 "Blinded By The Light"
#22 "Runner"
#40 "Spirit In The Night (New Version)"

I don't know either song by Night. Subjective OHW?

First off, I did not know they were connected. The only "Night" song I know is "Hot Summer Night". OHW IMHO,

However, Manfred Mann has several hits. The 2 I am familiar with are:
  • "The Mighty Quinn (Quinn The Eskimo)"
  • "Do Wah Diddy Diddy"
There are several other hits listed that charted. This band underwent some name adjustments (like Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship/Starship) and were also known as Manfred Mann's Earth Band. All 3 of your listed hits are with the Earth Band. Not a OHW.

Aah.. Didn't realize they did the Jefferson Starship thing. If those two bands are the same they have a combined 7 hits.

And even if we did separate the two, neither had only two hits, which is why I said "Manfred Mann just BARELY avoided the two-hit wonder label" because they had 3 of those 7.

Art Of Noise
#31 "Kiss" (with Tom Jones)
#34 "Paranoimia"

"Paranoimia" is only remembered by the VJ Big 40. But "Close To The Edit" is still remembered despite peaking at #102. And "Kiss" is still remembered no matter how much I wish it were forgotten.

Fat Boys
#12 "Wipeout" (with Beach Boys)
#16 "The Twist" (with Chubby Checker)

Frankly, these both suck. And they're both forgotten. What is remembered (by hip hop fans) is their earlier songs like "Stick 'Em" and "Human Beat Box" (Parts 1 and 2). But as for the mainstream, totally forgotten.

To prepare for a round of Madness, this fills out my brackets:

Damn Yankees
#3 "High Enough"
#20 "Where You Goin' Now"

Enigma
#4 "Return To Innocence"
#5 "Sadeness Part 1"

Jeremy Jordan
#14 "This Right Kind Of Love"
#28 "Wannagirl"

Inner Circle
#8 "Bad Boys"
#16 "Sweat (A La La La La Long)"

Yankess = subjective OHW
Enigma = not subjective OHW
Jeremy = who???
Inner = subjective OHW, la la la lost hit....

Don't Tread on Me was one I remember hearing too.

I looked at my presets on my computer screen at one point at work today, and Come Again was playing on (I think) Hair Nation.
