You can point out their black but don't blame the whole "black community" just because one African American lady hit him. That's what he did. He brought up slavery?? Why? For what reason? To me that didn't make any sense.

I still don't understand what Stern has to do with this? Howard haters out in force over this. Howard didn't do anything.

Someone in the spotlight should know better. Right, wrong, in between, defensive, aggressive, out of context, fully unedited, or a sound bite that just sounds bad, he should know that he'll be held to a standard that isn't what the general public expects for themselves. He should know that he'll always be a target. It's a messed up scene.
 
Who said anything about Stern? I checked my posts and i never mentioned stern. The only people talking about Stern are the fans who think the world revolves around him.
 
I realize now most of the people here are Stern fans. The first poster calls him aintfunny.

If you listened to the show at all youd realize anthony is probably one of the funniest people now including any standup comic.

I thought this site was about siriusxm not just the cult of howard? Seems like talking about any other show is a sin and the lackies get all defensive.
 
I honestly thought when I was a subscriber that when they weren't mailing it in, they were the funniest show on the service. It's when the Stern bashing and overall grousing over how they got no respect from management started (or continued?) that it went downhill. They also had guests on that I considered funny (Jay Mohr, Adam Ferrara, Denis Leary) that were their best shows. That being said, if you say something in some form that affects your employer, you're damn right you're gonna get fired. If I up and call someone a n**ger at work, they have every right to fire me. While he wasn't 'at work' he is a human face of the service. Much like when Jimmy the Greek made those disparaging public comments about black athletes, it wasn't on the job, but he was a representative.
 
Anthony did 10000 rants about race in the show. Is sirius saying they supported all those rants?

Hypocrisy its finest. Only because it got attention in the news did they say anything.

Its sad to see Sirius neutering everyone. Even Howard now cant use the word "retarded" or "midget" anymore. So much for uncensored. Ill listen to uncensored tapes from fm radio.

I've had soldiers and civilians take a swing at me when I was an MP. Last thing I thought of was what color community their from.

I thought people here were referring to other people out there on the interwebs that we're dragging Howard into it. I didn't think our folks made a big deal about it.

This thread is chock full of "strawman" posters. Only 1 guy said he's unfunny. The reason I know about his political/racial views is because I listened to the show while it was available to me, because it was funny. And I'm a giant Stern fan. So there.

You may want to consider that most blacks vote for the Democrat in any Presidential election. When Alan Keyes or Herman Cain ran for President, they received little black support. But yeah, Jews strongly supported Joe Lieberman, just as Catholics strongly supported Kennedy. It's logical that someone who shares your background would share similar views on policy.

But the reason Anthony is a dick is because he acts like blacks voting for the black democrat is worthy of a rant. Plus what he said about white guilt was ridiculous.

I happen to know a lot of liberal white folks who suffer from white guilt. It's intriguing.
 
Race is a myth. There are no races. Racists and/or racialists see race and perpetuate the myth.

I'm at the Opie and anthony Reddit page and I haven't seen anyone mention Stern.

Also if you don't notice color then God bless you. You are better than all of us. Oddly enough nature gave us that as part of a survival mechanism. We're supposed to notice if someone is black or white or whatever other features they have so that we can survive the next time we encounter the same situation.

I'm glad that all you see are souls when you look at other people. God bless you.
 
I seen them on some news sites and on twitter when I went to read for myself what he said.

I'm not better than anyone. I was just taught that people are people no matter what. I served with all colors and religions. We even had a gay guy that served. We all had each others backs. They are will always be my brothers. I hate any type of racism or bigotry. When your lives are in each others hands color and all the bullshit is thrown out the window.

Hey that's just me and my 2 cents and I'm sure no one really gives a shit what I think anyway.

So only liberals "suffer" from this? Interesting. So all the anti-discrimination laws and acts that have been enacted over the past 50 years to support women, minorities, the disabled, etc are only of interest to liberals. If that's the case, it says a lot about where we are as a country.
