A movement to change the map of Idaho is growing.
I was thinking about that the other day, if I'd ever see a border change or a 51st state in my lifetime.
Thing is that politicians, instead of thinking of the greater good, will instead always block these moves because one party will lose votes or representation.
Or because the Founding Fathers didn't want want Washington DC to be a state.
The Fathers didn't anticipate West Virginia splitting from Virginia either, but that happened. If your best argument in 2021 is the Fathers, move on...

West Virginia was created as a move in the Civil War.
I just have one question, why would anyone want to be a part of Idaho? You really must love potatoes.
Politics. Oregon is represented by liberals while Idaho is more conservative. They don’t like that.

Micro-climates are pretty interesting. Well, as interesting as those things can get.
You can find temperature shifts around buildings caused by the placement of other neighboring buildings, trees, water, pavement, and other things. They can shift temperatures noticeably. Shade, breezes, stagnant air, evaporative cooling, reflected and radiant heat.
We had to do some projects about it in school to learn how to place buildings on a site. We had to pick a few sites around campus and take weather measuring equipment around take readings a couple of times a day. Sooooo nerdy...... We made the band geeks look cool.

Each state's most misspelled words revealed
A survey of the most commonly misspelled words in each state between March 24, 2020 to March 24, 2021 found that people in 12 states had trouble with the word 'quarantine.'
Once again, I call bullshit on these maps/charts. It just makes no sense. Why would the words "which" and "every" be the most misspelled words in so many states? Why would so many people in Florida use the word pharaoh? And why would some states misspell quarantine (presumably an autocorrect error) but not others?
