It's been all over the news here. I guess I didn't post here because I just assumed everybody knew.

Runway will remain closed for 2 days. Flights to and from Toronto pretty fucked up as they are down 1 runway.

That was a damned hard landing.
I think that the pilot misjudged the distance to the ground.

He should have converted from feet to meters.

If I could be on a plane that landed upside down and I knew for a fact that I wouldn't die before it happened, I would totally be down for it.... Upside down for it if you will.

Also, I find it funny that even Canada's plane crashes are kind of like cute. Our plane crashes are like some bitch in a fucking helicopter runs into a bunch of civilians flying American Air or whatever.

Their crashes are a bunch of people who were just you know daydreaming about mooses wind up daydreaming about what mooses would look like upside down and nobody dies.

I'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if Canadians had axed the carbon tax.... I don't know anything about Canada, but as far as that Pierre guy goes, apparently that is the singular reason for anything at all going wrong in Canada.

यह भयानक है! Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner twin-engine planes went into service in 2009. This is the first one to crash. All but one of the 242 people on board were killed. Vishwashkumar Ramesh survived. One of his brothers is among the dead.

I've heard unconfirmed reports (which likely mean false) that he jumped from the plane prior to impact. That raises more questions: If he did jump, why was he the only one? Doesn't opening the door usually destabilize the plane? Was he a terrorist of some sort whose plane exit was part of the plan? Was he Tom Cruise?

There's no way that he jumped.
The Mrs read that he was thrown out when the fuselage broke open.
Still unbelievable, but more believable than getting to the door, opening it, and jumping in the time that it took the thing to hit the ground.

Looking at the crash there is no way he could have survived if he stayed with the plane.
