Adventures In Koopland

Here we go Scotch:

Went to 4 places to find these. Jared, Macy's, Zales & Kay. I wanted something that didn't look tiny. These are on white gold and the bezel around them kinda tricks the eye into thinking they are bigger. They are a 1/2 karat total. The clarity is kinda shitty but I'm not about to be spending thousands on these things. Size over clarity. After tax, at $565, they were $65 over the budget I set when I went shopping. Whatever, I think they look nice and I'm pretty positive she will love them.

The purse worked out well as a birthday gift but these should really put me over the top.

Good call Scotch.

This is them:

Sweet! Check it out:

In total, tax and all, they they are now $76 over what I paid! Must be because we are so close to Christmas.

Are you still going to be giving them to her?

Yes. Apparently I really screwed things up and it will take a long time to get back to where we were but I'm going to give it one hell of a try. And I'm sure diamonds won't hurt my cause.

Anyway, at least things have somewhat improved over last week at this time.

We'll see how this plays out.

Ok you guys are going to love this.

While we may have our issues right now I still spent the day at her house when she went to work. Then we had a nice dinner.

Anyway, I like to help out around the house so I wash dishes and stuff. When I got there in the morning she had a giant pot, like one you'd boil potatoes in, on her stove filled with what she told me was tea...it had a bunch of teabags in it still so everything seemed legit. She knows I'm more of a coffee guy because that's a man's drink and I'm American, not some fancy Brit. So while she's out I pour the tea in a pitcher and put in the fridge. Later on I decide I wanted some so I made a glass of iced tea. Then a few hours later I made another. I wound up drinking half the pitcher.

Well she gets home and I mention I liked the tea and that's when she remembers to tell me it's a cleansing tea. It's a freaking shitting tea! I've now crapped 4 times. I think I've stemmed the tide but who knows. We'll see how the rest of the night goes.

I told her to be sure to give me a heads up next time she keeps a pot of poison on her stove.

Here's Koop at his girls house.

Well I'm meeting the girl's family on Christmas. She decided spur of the moment to host a brunch and I will be one of 12 people who said they will be coming. Her one sibling has 2 boys aged 3 and 4 so as soon as I heard that I figured I had to get the kids gifts. I got them these:

Now I texted her those pics and she said "that's perfect" but that was at 1 am and she was likely half asleep.

These are questions I will be asking her tomorrow but she's not here right now so I figured I'd ask you guys.

I think these things are cool. I'm a boy and they are something I'd be down for playing with if I was still a kid. But I have 2 concerns.

1. Lots of guns.
Never met these kids parents before and I assume they are not pussies cause the girl isn't but maybe they would object to so many guns?

2. The action figures are all white.
I bought these things because they are something I would think was cool at that age and that got me thinking that I'm pretty sure all the action figures I had matched my race. IDK if it matters but I've been pondering it.

Your thoughts? I'll go over this with the girl tomorrow and report back.

Those are nice gifts, couple of them have small pieces. Hopefully those little boys grew out of the phase of putting things in there mouth.

It could go either way. We get our nephews stuff related to trains, trucks, kids tv shows, policemen, firemen, sports, and building. We've gotten them high power water guns.

They both say 3+ so hopefully I'm ok. Good call though. I was thinking of that.

Don't sweat it. The fact that you thought enough to get them anything is a good move. It was good to ask as well, so you're covered if there are any objections. At that age, it doesn't matter what you get the kids. They will either love it, or ignore it because they are playing with something else. Either way, 3 days from now, they will be playing with something completely different.

Make sure you also include the box. Boxes are quite popular with young kids.

Oh.....And don't get soused at brunch!!!!
If they are passing around mimosas or Bloody Marries, one and done!
Sip it to be social, don't chug, and then back to coffee or shit tea. Make sure that there is air freshener.

I'm back at her place getting ready for the brunch and for her to unwrap my inundation of gifts with the big one coming last and that should be fun. She said that the guns shouldn't be a thing with the parents.

She also said what the figures look like doesn't matter so that's good. I then got praised for thinking of that so I win.
