That is pretty much exactly what I want to do. I also want to get one of those big ass batteries that are basically a generator so I can have power with the car turned off. You can get solar panels that plug into them and go on the roof but I don't think I need that. I could charge it at home or if I use it to camp I can charge it while driving or at a McDonalds or Starbucks. Also black out curtains are a must.

A generator would be a plus as long it is quite. I haven't look into solar panels yet and that could work out. But will the power be strong enough to run certain things, which I can't think of anything right now? Because I never been camping before or ever used propane. Because I was thinking of getting a camping stove in the future, do they require a lot of propane or not?

As again I don't know anything about propane. Yea it small, but I don't know does it use a lot of fuel or how many hours you can get out of it. I could do some research but I have no use for it right now and it probably won't be years until I can go camping for myself.

You nervous or excited?

If I'm being honest, a lot more nervous than excited. A bunch of stuff I haven't done in nearly 10 years will be happening tomorrow. On top of all that, there is no way in the world this job will be as cushy as my last one. There I was able to play around watching movies and posting here for pretty much half of every shift. Also, I could vape at will. I went and got some of those nicotine mints to make up for losing that perk. And I'm getting paid less, so that sucks. But I do now have a new full time job in under 3 weeks since I lost my last one and these people know about my record going into it so I am thankful for that.

I'll probably be tired when I get back tomorrow but I'll post my thoughts on the new gig sometime soon.

First day went well. Like I expected and unlike my last job, there is no time to get paid while browsing DRC or the internet in general. Some of the stuff was a bit boring but other stuff was interesting. Overall I'd say it was a good first day and it appears to be a good enough job.

What's real nice is that all through the training at the new gig I will be getting double paychecks since I'm still getting paid out from my vacation time in my last job.

First week went well. There is a ton of stuff to learn. None of it is all that hard but there is so much that it can be difficult to take it all in at once. We repeat stuff a bunch and after doing the same thing 2 or 3 time I catch on and have no problems but the first time can be challenging. There are a bunch of people in the training, around 25. 1 already dropped out. All the people are nice. There are now 2 more weeks of training and once that's over I can see myself sticking with this for awhile. While the training can be tough, I'm sure once I've been doing it for a month or 2 it will be like second nature. It is much more work than my last job but I expected that. Overall it was a good first week and I'm happy to be there.

Tomorrow we get tested on the stuff we learned last week. While I was able to do it all in practice and with the notes I took during the training, I'm still nervous about screwing it up. We'll see how it goes. 2 more weeks of training.

Today I got to shadow an employee that has been through the training and has been working the job for about a year. It gave me a lot of confidence. In training all of it can seem kinda daunting but watching someone who knows what their doing made me think I could get there sooner than I originally thought.

We have to take tests throughout our training and we need to keep an average of at least 85% to keep the job. So far we have had 3 tests. In the first one I got an 86%. That scared me into taking the training more serious and in the second test I got 100% and the third I got a 98%. We have the final test coming up on Monday and I took serious notes. While talking, the instructor will say things like "this will probably be on the test" so for the "final" I have taken copious notes (shout-out to my Stern fan brethren there).
