There's no reason to go around bashing someone regardless of their views. Besides, it's always funner to watch someone make an ass of themselves without bashing them...:)

I think regardless we just don't want to put up with it. And it's not out of control, just needs to be reminded to people.
 
I think some people are a little too thin-skinned, especially for Stern Show fans. When people claim "personal attack" when someone posts a :loser: smiley, i mean, c'mon... Some people are looking for any reason to claim rules violation. It's very childish, IMO. Some seem to take a differing opinion as some sort of attack or thread derailment. If posting a .jpg is unnacceptable, then we better just shut down the internets.

There's going to be disagreement and some ball-busting. It shouldn't require a mod for every flare-up nor should it be necessary for some users to "remind" people of each rule violation. This is a good opportunity to show who the bigger man is...

Let's be real... there have been some pretty nasty personal attacks - and I don't mean smilies - that have passed without incident. I think the moderators have shown a lot of restraint in the spirit of free speech and that is good. The moderator's message here is don't let a thread degenerate into personal attacks.... I hate censorship and I don't care about personal attacks on me (and I have taken many) but I think it makes sense to say "post what you want about the subject but don't let the thread degenerate into a name calling and insult session" .. Makes for a better forum. Let's talk about the subject not about whether or not the other guy posting should go "wash his pussy"... I for one would never run to a moderator to report a personal attack or anything else.... Let the moderators do their thing on their own....
 
There are some things that are nastier, but I've been told I was personally attacking someone for using that smiley above.

It's not like any ONE person is to blame, although some people act like they are completely without fault. It's the internets. Haven't you ever heard the "sticks and stones" deal?

I just find it ponderous that Howard Stern fans would really be all butt-hurt over something on a web forum or even Howard's comments. maybe that's the problem - the "fans" part...

I'm on a conference call and thank God I had my phone on mute when I read this. I am on the phone with a CIO of one of the largest construction companies, in the country, so it wouldn't have been good had I laughed as he was talking.

This has to be one of the most civil forums I've seen, not only for Howard/Bubba/Sirius XM, but all forums in general. It's definitely a testament to the people running it.

Mostly towards each other. It's that I've gotten PMs about some stuff. And I just want it to be civil. Especially from my personal standpoint that I don't like to see people not get along nor do I like taking time off of getting good work done to pay attention to pettiness on the forum :(

Can't wait until you guys fire Dick Fraud (Rodriguez). Then, I can cheer for Michigan again instead of hoping a giant hole forms on the Earth swallowing both Ohio and Michigan during the annual game. :D
