I thought we discussed Carnival by Natalie Merchant; that you like it but don't recognize the name. No?

That is entirely possible. If that is the case I have forgotten again.

Listening it to it now, it does seem vaguely familiar. It is not bad. It might make my ok list if my mood was right. I think it may have been a different one of her songs we discussed.

26 DE Chris Isaak - Wicked Game
20 27 L.L. Cool J - Around the Way Girl
16 12 D.N.A. ft. Suzanne Vega - Tom’s Diner

19 13 Winger - Miles Away
17 23 Warrant - I Saw Red
05 03 Damn Yankees - High Enough

I put these 3 as bad. They're not awful - but I don't like 'em. This is when hair band ballads were getting even cheesier, to the point of annoying. Though I do like the acoustic version of "I See Red", it works better than the regular hard rock version.

Not sure if I already said this, but it's not "lick your boom boom/bum bum". Here's what I think he's saying:

“Informer. Y'know say daddy me Snow me I go blam. A leak, he boom-boom down”.

Meaning this. “Hey, informer (aka snitch). You know I (Snow) am going to gun you down (blam).” Then speaking in the third person about himself – “A leak (snitch), he (referring to himself in the third person) boom-boom (gunshots) down”.

My mid 70s are 1 or 2 likes where yours are a dozen.

My mid 90s are a dozen and yours are 1 or 2.

I blame birthdates!
You're well aware that there are a ton on 90s songs I love. In fact, 1995 was the year of my musical rebirth. But in the early 80s, Billboard's new rock music categories fractured what Top 40 meant. And so there was a divergence - which really started with post-punk in the 70s - and I took the alternative path. And ever since then, the paths have just gotten further and further apart. But I have never stopped listening to new music.

I feel like once we get to the late 90s, into the 00s, your tastes also diverge from what they played on the top 40 stations.
