30 ** Hootie & The Blowfish - Let Her Cry - The only real Hootie and The Blowfish album I got into, all downhill from there.
23 22 Melissa Etheridge - If I Wanted To - Was on a big Melissa Etheridge binge back in the day.
20 20 Hootie & The Blowfish - Hold My Hand - See above, having David Crosby sing backup was a nice touch.
9 7 Sheryl Crow - Strong Enough - Had this album and a few others afterward, checked out after that Kid Rock duet.
8 9 Dionne Farris - I Know - Underrated gem.
6 4 Madonna - Take A Bow - One of her later stuff that wasn't so bad.
1 1 Montell Jordan - This Is How We Do It - Couldn't help but like this one.

The only real Hootie and The Blowfish album I got into, all downhill from there.

Opposite for me. I didn't like those first three big singles at all (Hand, Cry, Only). Hated them, actually. "Time" was tolerable. But the only song I actually like from them is "Tucker's Town" (2nd album). After that was "I Go Blind" which I don't mind.

If we heard "I Go Blind" now up here, we hear the 54-40 version. Not much difference (maybe a bit rawer). I think 54-40's is the original.
