40. UNDER PRESSURE - QUEEN AND DAVID BOWIE
This song gets a lot of crap, but it is one of my favorites, mainly because of who's involved in it. Always liked both.
36. I WOULDN'T HAVE MISSED IT FOR THE WORLD - RONNIE MILSAP
One of those things you don't see today, country mixed in with Rock and Luther Vandross on the same countdown. That just doesn't exist anymore. This was the era I was still listening to country (of course I was 6 at the time, but that's where I became interested in it thanks to my folks).
31. TRYIN' TO LIVE MY LIFE WITHOUT YOU - BOB SEGER & THE SILVER BULLET BAND
30. CENTERFOLD - J. GEILS BAND
29. NO REPLY AT ALL- GENESIS
All favorites to this day. I always thought 'Centerfold' came out a lot later than this.
25. COOL NIGHT - PAUL DAVIS
That voice and that song coming from a guy who looked like he could fit right in opening for Motorhead or something.
23. TURN YOUR LOVE AROUND - GEORGE BENSON
21. OUR LIPS ARE SEALED - THE GO-GOS
13. TROUBLE - LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM
All of these are memorable for one reason or another. George Benson is still cool today (and a pretty underrated guitarist in his own right) despite being known as a 'smooth jazz' artist. We won't get into the crush I had on Belinda Carlisle (still do!) My appreciation of Lindsay Buckingham's guitar skills as a fair to middlin' player myself, one of those guys that proves you don't have to be flashy to be good at what you do.
10. START ME UP - THE ROLLING STONES
I remember thinking these guys were old back then. And they're still together. And Keith Richards continues to violate every universal law known to man when it comes to what rock stars can get away with and still remain among the living. It's like the internet meme goes, "We're going to have to start thinking about what kind of world we're going to leave for Keith Richards."
2. WAITING FOR A GIRL LIKE YOU - FOREIGNER
Met Lou Gramm once at an autograph session when I was a teenager. Good dude. I never really considered the latest incarnation for Foreigner to be legit without him. It'd be like the Rolling Stones without Jagger.
