When I first heard this song, I thought it was a half hearted effort by Duran Duran. A horrible song where they must have just came off a weekend of heavy drugs and partying, and decided it was a good idea to record a song.

John Lennon wrote Nobody Told Me in 1976 and recorded it in 1980, intending it for his and Yoko's Double Fantasy album. John decided to leave it off the album and allow Ringo to record the song. John's recording was finally released in 1984 on Milk & Honey. Most of the songs on that album were demos recorded on cassette but Nobody Told Me was recorded in a studio. John recorded ten takes, each with his voice on a separate track. Ringo would have added his own vocals to the instrumental track and included the song on his 1981 Stop & Smell The Roses album but after John was murdered, Ringo decided against recording the song.
