A lot of these songs I didn't hear until months or years later.

I hate Rag Doll. It was a song I didn't hear until 1989 & I just never liked it. I think Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons had a song of the same name, and I don't like that one, either.

Tracy Champman Fast Car. Don't remember hearing that until about 1991. At first I didn't like it, but it has grown on me over the years. I think I have it on my iPod.

Simply Irresistible. My favorite on the countdown

Ah 1988, the year Poison started crapping all over popular music. Thank god for Guns and Roses and Nirvana later.

And yes, Rag Doll was horrible. Latter-day Aerosmith just doesn't do it for me like Dream On or Walk This Way.

'Addicted to Love' video had ladies in skimpy outfits, he got criticism for that, so what did he do next? Made a video with more ladies in even skimpier outfits. :cool:

I have never heard this song.


22. RAG DOLL - AEROSMITH

The later years had one or two songs that were alright, this wasn't one of them.

One of my all time fav bands.

Listened to this album a zillion times. Still love it.

2. RASPBERRY BERET - PRINCE & THE REVOLUTION
Still can't stand this one. A major disappointment after 1999 and Purple Rain.

DM was something that I shouldn't have liked at the time, but I'm glad that I took some advice about opening my ears to look for things to appreciate in everything I hear. Since then, DM has been a favorite.

As for Power Station, they were amazing. Another example of how incredible musicians can be overlooked. They made me go back and pay attention to Duran Duran. There was so much more than meets the eye there.

Most underrated album of all time is Depeche Mode's 'Exciter'. Some real gems on that album that were painfully overlooked.

The way Jon feels about this song is how I feel about "Unskinny Bop". And Warrant's "Cherry Pie". But I don't mind this one.

Forgot this song existed. Decent, but it goes on too long.

Liked this album a lot back then. Not so much now.

Before this album, VH could do no wrong. Try as I might, I just could not get into this album. It marked the end of my VH obsession. "Mine All Mine", "Source of Infection", "Feels So Good" and "A Apolitical Blues" are just awful. Best track is "Sucker in a 3 Piece".

Liked this album a lot back then. It's still ok.

The only song on the countdown I didn't know. Bleh, not good. But I did love Naked Eyes' self-titled album (and still do!)

22. RAG DOG - AEROSMITH
I understand the hate for this song - boring, repetitive, cheesy - but I can tolerate it once in a blue moon. "Angel" is the one on Permanent Vacation that makes me plug my ears. Otherwise, it 'WAS' a great album (it's just a kinda pretty okay album now).

20. FAST CAR - TRACY CHAPMAN
Classic.

14. DO YOU LOVE ME - THE CONTOURS
Late 80s soundtrack hell. I do like this song but this soundtrack got overplayed to DEATH, alongside Top Gun, Stand By Me and a few others.

11. THE FLAME - CHEAP TRICK
Liked this album a lot back then. Still dig it (except for "Ghost Town").

3. HANDS TO HEAVEN - BREATHE
Probably the most embarrassing CD in my collection. But I liked (and still like) all three top ten hits from it. Couldn't tell you what the other songs on it sound like.
