Looks like this one was aired a few times:

Fortune is a sextet that includes lead singer Barry Pritchard and brothers Mick and Richard Fortune. Staci reached #80 in January 1986 and was the only one of their five singles to chart. The band has released five albums. The first, cleverly titled Fortune, came out in 1978. Their second album, also titled Fortune, came out in 1985 and included Staci. Fortune II, which was actually their third album, was released in 2019. The Gun's Still Smokin', a live CD/DVD. came out in 2020. Level Ground was released in April 2022 and includes I Will Hold You Up, featuring Toto's Steve Porcaro on keyboards.

31: LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME – THE THOMPSON TWINS

The only song in the bottom 20 I marked as 'good'.

16: TALK TO ME – STEVIE NICKS

Had a discussion on Reddit about her recently. A stupid one. My posts are in yellow.

What artist left a band and went on to have a more successful solo career?

Stevie Nicks / Fleetwood Mac

I'm sorry but Stevie Nicks has not had a more successful career than Fleetwood Mac. Her only solo hit was "Rooms on Fire" surely.

First sentence, accurate. Second sentence, way off.

Really? I couldn't name another one of her songs.

Edge of Seventeen, Leather and Lace, Stop Dragging my Heart Around all from her first solo album, Belladonna.

Never heard any of them.

So because you haven’t heard any of them they aren’t hits?

I've heard of Edge of Seventeen but haven't knowingly listened to it. I have the radio on all day every day at work. Normally I have it on the Hits channel. I've never heard any of Stevie's songs besides 'Rooms on Fire' on any radio station in the last 47 years. Clearly they aren't big hits.

She had 10 top 40 solo hits in the 80s. 7 of them, I heard all over radio and MTV back in the day. I could probably sing most of the lyrics from memory. And I still hear them on SXM channels like Classic Rewind and 80s on 8. If you were born in 1985, I could understand what you're saying. But being born in the mid 70s and not knowing them? That's a mystery to me. And by the way "Rooms" isn't one of those 7.

8: THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR – DIONNE WARWICK & FRIENDS

The person you were talking to was an idiot. Also Stevie didn't leave Fleetwood Mac. She had a solo career in parallel.

Will never be in the top 40

This week's surprises.

#88 Fortune "Stacy"

Finally a song about Stacy and not her mom.
