Typical 1989. A bunch of great songs and a bunch of crap songs. Very polarized countdown.
A lot of good hard rock on the Hot 100 this week: Bon Jovi, Kix, Tesla, Bad English, Alice Cooper, Skid Row, Whitesnake, Aerosmith x2, Great White, Motley Crue x2, Fiona/Winger, Bonham, Kiss, White Lion. You probably won't find a single hard rock song on the Hot 100 for the whole year of 2021!

I think this one may have come along too early in the evolution of hip hop.
I listened to the end of the countdown from 12/24. Alan only mentioned the Rad Party Countdown.
