nick cannon was a great guest! lots of fun. i also was agreeing with both him and robins points until the end when he went full on hanzi by saying how votes dont count and its all rigged.

its also fun to hear howard talk about pokemon go. he clearly knows nothing about it and his take was entertaining.

mila was a hard pass. i FF'ed through all but the last 5 mins when they were talking about her being pregnant. but the sour/sal at the yankees game stuff was a great listen.

I agree about Nick Cannon, and yes, "full-on Hanzi" is an apt way to put it. I hate when rich shitheads say money doesn't matter, and politics doesn't matter. And who exactly are the ones who have already decided how the country is going to run?

I like Mila, she's sexy and speaks very frankly. Plus she's never been on before. But Howard could've eliminated about a third of the interview, and it would have been much better. And please, can we just stop the repeated references to the guests' beauty - which the guest must deny, or dance-around, or add conditions, over and over - so as not to seem immodest. Basically, it works like this: if you're a supermodel, where your living is primarily derived from being hot, you may say "thank-you" when complimented over and over. But for all other celebrities, they have to keep denying that reality, lest they be branded a conceited bitch.

I dislike whenever Howard asks questions that require the guest to lie; I tune-in to get honest dialogue.
 
Was the Gwen Stefani interview 2 hours long? I listened to an hour and the online player showed a lot of time left, so I looked at the start and end markers - looks like 8:54 to 10:54. Jesus.

ugh. im not down for that. i want to hear about 3 things from her: the divorce, the crappy ticket sales for her latest tour and stuff about no doubt. i dont think im willing to sit through 2 hours just to get to those parts.

I haven't heard that show yet, but if there's 2+ hours of gwen stefani, then I'll probably listen to the entire show I wanna hear in under 90 minutes.

I find it ironic that people - such as callers or staff - try to engage in conversations with Howard, and after 10 seconds, he gets frustrated and says "OK! Enough of this already!"; but we're expected to care about Gwen Stefani for 2+ hours.
 
The Gwen Stephani interview must have been replayed 50 times so it was hard to miss any of it. It was more interesting than I thought it would be. I am so sick of her public heart break and her public courtship with Blake Sheldon that I thought it would be all about that. Sounded like she is a real artist who cares about her art and her fellow artists. Howard did his best to find her brother jealous of her success after he left and to find her band pissed off about her solo album. The usual Howard obsessions with jealousy and who makes more money. She set him straight on that and also on his idea that Prince wanted to do her and other stupid concoctions he came up with. If you wanted to know about Gwen Stephani, I think you learned a lot. If you could care less, 2 1/2 hours was a bit much. I love her voice and happy to hear life history from her.
