2026 Movies and TV Shows

I've seen 4, maybe 5 I might have seen "Strangers on a Train". I saw "Vertigo" 25 years ago but checked out of the library again because on Monday, they were showing a Kim Novak movie at the Senior Center, so I thought I watch "Vertigo" again to tell the group next Monday.

At least 90% of Aaron's "no" remarks on my list are movies from a series Stray Cat hosts called "Analog Sunday", where really shitty movies are shown from VHS copies. So he's better off not having seen most of those. Ha ha...it's a fun night out, though - lots of yelling at the screen, etc.

Speaking of Stray Cat ( the place I see the most of these movies )...here's a link to their site if anyone's curious about them : Stray Cat Film Center - Kansas City's Indie Movie Theater . You can see upcoming movies on the "Events" page.

Star Trek Strange New Words Season 4 Episode 2: Spock and Laahn return from a future Federation leaders retreat, and Lt. Kirk hitches a ride with them and they find an old Starship heading home and it is haunted. The episode was more like a slasher movie than a Star Trek episode with foreshadowing of events to come in the original series and movies. And I just realized I still have to watch the final episode of StarFleet Academy Season 1.

For movies, I plan to see "Spiderman, Brand New Day" next Tuesday. I'm not a big fan but know enough about the original story. Sound be fun with free popcorn. I also seen some good previews last Tuesday on upcoming movies. A new Ronald Reagan movie, a new Margaret Qualley movie and the new Rocky movie. We will have to decide on Thanksgiving Night whether to see the new Rocky movie or the Hershey Bar movie

We're seeing Spidey Sunday afternoon. I only went to Stray Cat once this work week to see "Suddenly In The Dark" for the 2nd time.

The new Snoopy movie also debuted on Apple TV today

And Stuart's new episode of shocking everyone who gets angry is a good idea

The weekend DJ on Hits 1 said that the SpiderMan movie is breaking records at the theaters. I am still confident I will get a good seat on Tuesday as we will have about 5 screens dedicated to this movie with running times all day. Plus I am a rare one who likes to sit in the front section. I'd buy in advance but I'm not sure if I have to go solo or with my Mrs. and fitting her schedule

Just saw the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day. I thought it was pretty good, though not better than No Way Home. There were quite a few returning characters from other shows, and parts of the movie felt like I was playing the Spider-Man video game.

It's making bonkers money so far - pacing to maybe be the all-time opening weekend ahead of "Avengers : Endgame". We'll see.

I bought my ticket a month ago when they went on sale. Seeing it at the theater at Union Station - biggest screen in KC, & the 12:30pm show is always 5 bucks. I just found out my wife won't be able to go with me as planned, so if anyone wants the ticket meet me at Union Station around Noon.

I really enjoyed Spiderman.

Well Tuesday came today and:
We were going to go to the 11am showing of "Spiderman Brand New Day" in the standard screen but we were running late so I had to go the 11:20 am UltraScreen DX showing. I'm glad that happened. This movie was meant to be seen in the UltraScreen. I really liked it. It was 2.5 hours but it did not seem that long. It was adventurous and a love story. I liked the new Spiderman but it looked like he was in a previous Spiderman movie. This is my 2nd movie seeing Zendaya. I saw her in "The Drama" in the spring and Sadie Sink was fantastic. Her best performance since "The Whale" I liked this one much better than
"Supergirl" But this gives me another movie on Wolf's 2026 Blockbuster List.

During the previews, I look forward to "Coyote vs Acme". And for some reason, they had that Burger King commercial with the CEO that all didn't like. Also the Marcus CEO was doing a skit with the SuperTroopers 3 cast. I've never seen any of the SuperTrooper movies but recognize one of them as the teacher in "The Goldbergs" that would throw chalk erasers at the students in "Hogan Was My Grandfather"

The newest Stuart episode was weird again but ok. I'll keep watching for now. While my Monica Barbaro movie "One Night Only" opens Friday and I will be targeting to see next Tuesday. And the Mojo Box Office site has "Spider-Man Brand New Day" as the highest gross of the year ahead of "Toy Story 5". I've seen six of the top 10 at the theater including "Michael" "Project Hail Mary" "Obsession" "The Devil Wears Prada 2" and "Backrooms" and 11 of the Top 20. This year has been almost as good as last year.

And the latest "Star Trek Strange New Worlds" episode was weird too but for different reasons than Stuart. It had a tribble, a mugato and reference to a green alcoholic drink for Scottie. Too many canon violations
