That sounds like a good idea. I guess we would do two separate brackets, one for Oscars and the other for Academy awards? Have everything in one 64 bracket, 32 for the Oscars and 32 for the Academy.

Oscars are Academy Awards. I would put each category as a poll. If you want I can set this up for you tonight. The comparison would be done after the awards.

Oh yea, that why I don't really watch award shows. I was thinking the academy awards was the golden globes. Probably be better if you post that, because I would screw that up.

It's just a standard introductory phrase, like "With all due respect", "I'm fine, how are you?", "Long story short", and "While I appreciate your concern". Nobody means any of those things.
How about when the thread was started in October of 2017?

Thanks, IRBS, I bet that was pretty tough for yea. Like last year when I posted all of those wild card voting threads. So now welcome to my world when I do these madness brackets it a lot of work to set up.
The only problem is to keep track of all of your award madness threads. That is why we need another sub-forum to keep track of all of these entertainment threads. Should be fun going through pages 2 - 4 to search for stuff.

I saw one of the nominated movies (wasn't that jazzed about it) and tried to see another that was in limited release. I'll sit this one out.

“Get Out” - Saw it twice in the theater. Have it on Blu-ray. Loved it.
“Lady Bird” - Saw it in the theater. Deeply disappointing.
“The Shape of Water” - I saw it in the theater and loved it. That was a relief because I didn't care for "Crimson Peak".
“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” - I saw it in the theater and loved it.
“Call Me by Your Name” - I haven't seen it yet but will once it opens at the Drafthouse.
“Darkest Hour” - I haven't seen it yet. Might.
“Dunkirk” - I haven't seen it yet. Might.
“Phantom Thread” - I haven't seen it yet. Might. Recent Paul Thomas Anderson films (The Master, Inherent Vice) were boring and unpleasant, but I loved his earlier work.
“The Post” - I haven't seen it yet. Might.
