saw silence yesterday. usually a christian movie would be a hard pass but scorsese makes it worth the trip.

it was pretty good. not great, and there was at least 40 mins of fat that could have easily been trimmed but when your dealing with a legend making his passion project i guess a long winded outing is to be expected. overall i'm happy i saw it.

Finally the new Logan trailer looks good and possibly worth watching in the theaters.

I grew up watching Power Rangers, I don't plan on seeing it in theaters. But the trailer does look good and look like Pacific Rim robots and monsters.

i never really got into power rangers as a kid. i remember the white ranger being a big deal for some reason but that's all i remember.

the trailer looks a lot like the movie chronicle from 2012. they go into a pit, touch some fancy rocks or whatever and then get powers. chronicle was a fantastic movie. def. worth checking out if you haven't seen it.

In a very active day, we went to see The Dog's Purpose this afternoon. We knew there was a lot of controversy but decided to go anyway. Peggy Lipton from the Mod Squad was in it along with Britt Robertson and Dennis Quaid. They probably could have dropped the segment where the Dog lives one of his lives as a police dog. That's the scene that has been in all the news. Otherwise, a very delightful film. It was quite a dog day for us. We heard a local dog in town that had been missing for 5 days was found ok and heard our neighbor's just adopted a pup today.

"Ultraman Ginga S" was kind of lame, but "Ultraman X" was deeply moving.

The OG Ultraman returned to save the day. My Ultraman.

I liked the first American version of the Ring. Ring 2 wasn't all that good, but it's watchable.

You should really try and watch the Japanese versions or Ring and The Grudge. Chad from Sirius Backstage turned me on to them

Ring 2 was alright, I never been a fan of the Grudge.

How would I check out the Japanese versions?

I haven't seen The Ring in years and just rewatched it and I guess my thoughts just changed about the film and it wasn't that great as I first thought it was.

I guess my taste in films has changed in the past years, since I'm starting listening to certain movie podcasts, but movie critics shouldn't judge the movie for me, I am my own movie critic.

You might be able to watch some of them on Amazon. I didn't see them on iTunes. I bought some of them back in 2007-2008 off of Amazon. My cousin has them.

There's also a movie streaming service called Shudder. You might could watch them there

just saw paterson and really liked it. be warned that it's a slow moving story but they style hooked me. it was nice to see a movie that the trailer didn't give away. i knew it was about a bus driving poet but from the trailer i thought it was going to be a very different type of movie.

i think i'll now check out more of jim jarmusch's work.
