Do they still give a month discount for a yearly sub? I paid $199 in 2015 as the base price for all access. Royalty fee was 27.66. Just got off the phone with customer service and they say they still give the discount. My auto renewal letter I just received today dated December 4th says I owe $239.88 for the base price plus 33.34 for royalty. 239.99 divided by 12 is $19.99 which is what the website says is the all access price for a month. Fine. But where's my month discount for that base rate? I just canceled two all access radios on my account to make a select plan radio as the main radio on my account but I'm considering not renewing either of those all access radios on the principle of the thing. They got a decade long sub that they're trying to squeeze an extra $19.99 out of because they figure I'm not doing some quick math when the letter comes. I know the rates go up every year since the merger but a $40 bump? The rep did offer me a way discounted yearly price if I re-activated the radio but I told him to save his pity.

I know in June they added $1.00 to all plans per month. But when did the shiving of a loyal sub/fan/seller of the product to multiple new customers go into enactment?? I may be done with this business.

I recently had to renew, and I too thought I'd get a discount annually for getting the $19.99/mo plan (plus royalty), but no.

You may be able to get half-off All Access for a year, but I think you'd have to pay full price for the first radio.

I moved a select plan to the first position. It doesn't save much money but a few bucks. Now I have to call back after the two all access radios get shut down. I may just use the app for everything starting in February.

From what I understand, there may not be an "internet only" option anymore?? I thought I heard such?

But I thought they just came out with a great new app for smart phones.

My understanding is a streaming only sub is 14.99 per month. The streaming/internet add on with a normal sub is 4 bucks a month. The totals are without fees (royalty type).

FWIW, I read where people are calling 1-888-601-6302 to cancel and mentioning a 5/$25 e-mail offer and/or $89 per anum offer by mail.

The website says to call 1-866-408-2796 to turn your radio back on and listen to special rates. I call and immediately got a live voice. I expect the company is fully staffed knowing it's a big time of the year for subs and want to capture (or re-capture) every dollar they can before gift giving euphoria calms down.

After the initial six month sub was close to ending on our 13' Fusion I asked the CSR to hook me up on a $99 per year price point since we use the vehicle sparingly. Repeated the process the next spring. I almost fell for the auto renew crap for the 199 MSPR. That for the rich and/or naive.

Happy shopping and let us know how things turn out.

I could deal with $199, but $240 forget it. I'll use the online app starting in February. All the CSR's asked me what car my sub was connected to. None of the 4 radios are in a car.

One of those numbers goes to a "Sirius Corporate Relations" in Nova Scotia. Those people actually speak English and are a complete blessing to talk to...or maybe you have to tweet them and get them to talk to you, IDK. I've talked to them numerous times. :)

I've heard the 5/$25 doesn't include internet...radio only.

I used to do the $89 (since gone up) and internet for regular price $12 and they'd give me a 50% discount, but over the past couple years, half off All-Access for a year is a better price, or so they say.

Went through the annual bartering sessions regarding a renewal of a car sub. Got an e-mail for an auto renewal for 204 on Sirius select unless I called before the expiration date. I had unknown leverage because the CC on file was invalid (replaced). The first three attempts were in the afternoon or evening and all three men took a hard stance so I called their bluffs.

Called this morning and while Rene he didn't have a clear english dialect she understood my infrequent usage position and previous agreement for 99 per anum plus 25 dollar music royalty fees. Got the same deal as I mention to her for 2014 & 15.

The e-mail was six weeks before the end date. Last year I got a letter via standard postage and Mrs. Vols almost threw it away.

She likes the service for her favs and I like it on sporting event days, casual listening and especially during trips.

BTW, I called listener care at 1-855-556-7276 to get stonewalled. Called a cancellation line at 1-866-635-5020 for the breakthrough.

I always just call the cancellation line if I want something. But I always go with the mindset that if I don't get a deal, I will just cancel. Sometimes I just need to cancel. They always offer a deal but I say "I am not using the radio". Never had an unsatisfactory experience.

Well my buddies and my radio shut off this morning. He's already contacted me to do something about it. What cheesed me off was not giving me a free month for the yearly plan after telling me over the phone that they still offer that. $239 divided by 12 is $239.88 which is what they billed me. Screw them.

Played the renewal game last week. I called early in the evening and did not get a pure English speaking voice at 1-888-601-6302.

She said she was the retention department which didn't make sense but I went along with her script.

Said I wanted to renew and got an offer for $204.

Said too, much, use the car twice a week.

She asked my channel preferences and offered music only for 130 and change. Told her Mrs. Vols listens to all kinds of stuff and $99 per anum was my only option.

Put me on hols for a long minute and said since I was a long time subscriber they would honor the 99. Game, set match.

I did not get an envelope as in previous years, just an e-mail with 30 days notice of an auto renewal at the retail rate.

She said an e-mail 30 days before this pro rated period would be sent. I need to mark my calendar to check the spam folder in December so I don't get the retail renewal rate.

OH H.....EYE OH
I have two radios. Until Jan. 2, I had been paying $231.36 for six months. I am good with my money (Debt free except the house.) but I thought since I enjoy the service so much, I may as well pay full price.

Upon calling 866-635-2349, I got this deal. (Same package that I had)

XM Skybox that son has on XM select.

I have the XM MyFi all access with internet.

I have gone from paying $231.36 for six months to $91.61 for six months. I pay via invoice so they will be sending a new one to me within 5 days. I don't mind paying the $2 invoice fee for them not to bill my debit card. That is a very good trade off.
