Sometimes in the shower, the shower curtain keeps crowding my space.
So I googled to find out why that happens.

"Even scientists don't know why it happens. One theory is that temperature differences inside and outside the shower lowers the air pressure around the curtain, sucking it toward the water. Another is that the shower spray creates a vortex with lower air pressure at the center that draws the curtain to it."

WAIT. Stop right there. It's 2022 and scientists haven't figured this out yet?

Or is Google just lazily giving me a plot answer. Likely.

Wikipedia cites 6 possibilities but no definitive answer.

Weird.

I don't know why but I'm picturing this when Aaron curtain shower blows in.

Listening to Stern 6/4/2002 and they're talking about an art thief whose mother destroyed over a billion dollars worth of irreplaceable art after he got caught. Wow!

Priceless art haul destroyed by thief's mother
Wed 15 May 2002 21.07 EDT

When Stephane Breitwieser was arrested last year, little did he know that his mother began disposing of the extraordinary art collection he had spent seven years stealing.

It was, by any standards, an extraordinary haul: some £1.25bn-worth of old masters, ceramics, antique weapons and musical instruments, stolen over a period of seven years from 172 museums in five European countries.

And almost all of it has now gone forever, destroyed by a 53-year-old woman out of fury at the fact that her son - arguably the world's most consistently successful art thief - had finally been arrested.

Mireille Breitwieser has told police in Mulhouse, in eastern France, that she threw 109 precious artefacts including jewelry, pottery and statuettes into the nearby Rhine-Rhone canal after her son Stephane, 31, was detained in Switzerland late last year.

She also destroyed some 60 old masters, including works by Boucher, Cranach, Watteau and Breughel, by cutting them up into small pieces and, over a period of several weeks, throwing them out with the rubbish.

Thanks. The week kicked off with Mrs. Scotch having my car detailed, which I mentioned.

I did some river kayaking and spent time on the beach on my actual birthday, followed by a great dinner at a Patagonian restaurant. And today we had a cookout with a bunch of friends.
I remember now, and I thought I gotta remember to wish him a happy birthday, then I didn't.

Happy belated Scotch. Mine was pretty good too.…..Not than anyone asked….
A belated Happy Birthday and with about 25 clicks I was able to find where it lists that.

Just a note that doing the same 25 clicks on scotch's profie does not reveal the birthday. However, the software did award him a "Happy Birthday Trophy" on August 25th, 2018 so I will guess that August 25th is his actual birthday. Good job on the software for keeping that secret. LOL

There’s a plug-in for the birthdays that (I think) has an annual cost, so we don’t bother with it. I’ll try to remember to look into it again before August 24th next year.

Sorry we missed it. It's been about 5 years since anybody on here noticed my birthday either. The software used to let people know. Doesn't anymore.
Normally I don't care about birthdays. In fact, I have a rule on Facebook that I don't wish people happy birthday, because it's a never-ending spiral. Like this

But I believe you and I are the same age, and this year it's a significant milestone.

I'm pretty sure sociologist is a fake thing. Like it's u finished college but didn't really study anything. Can't believe I'm saying this but I respect an architect way more. At least they produce physical objects from their worthless profession.

But really what do u do w a sociology degree? Maybe go teach high-school? Or plan stuff for social workers to deal with?

And yes. I'm not grumpy at all. Totally level headed over here. In the past few days I obviously didn't have a date w a lady calling herself a sociologist and it didn't go well.

But I'm being completely objective here. Get a real job (architects still suck) manage a place or work for some govt like scotch that winds up sponsoring epcot rides.

I'll take a shrink, I'll take a mcdonalds manager. Stop trying to squeeze urself in between them with ur fake profession.

Yea that's over. Back in the dating pool. But that wasn't really the point of my post. Way to bring it up though. Ya know, it's not at all painful. My fault for adding in that detail. Hahahah

If you don't share on DRC, then you get what you get.

Sorry it didn't work out and you got stuck dating a sociologist.

Hahah.

You stupid hockey people busting my balls is kinda why I like it here.

But yea right, sociology is not a real thing. It's like bad historian or bad psychologist. It's somewhere around those two, but like the street performer version.
