Then Howard should stop calling Tim the channel "Programmer'. If he is the programmer he sucks for shit. Stern show shuffle???? Give me an F'N break. I don't "know" Tim but what I do "know" is that Howard 101 has sucked for a while now and according to Howard and others Tim is the programmer.

The guy has two assistants and like others have said he's always busy.

My guess is that he is in charge of the tapes team. Jason said that he does stuff for Tim when the show is not live. I'm not saying the tapes team gives Tim much to do but if my assumption is correct then he at least as something to crow about.

I liked how Tim acted like he was too busy to spend five minutes in there discussing it. What in the hell is he doing? Taking that big dump yesterday was probably the most work he did all day based on what's on the channels.

Haven't heard yesterdays show yet, but ur 100% correct. He definitely puts more effort into shitting than programming those channels. I wonder what he will say he did for Howard on his resume when he's looking for work 3 1/2 yrs from now.

RE: What Tim does

Someone told me Tim isn't there to figure out programming or hire or let go of staff. That he is there simply to keep everyone at bay, like subscribers, upper management, the show staff. That Tim is essentially there just to keep people from getting to Howard and Don. It's as if Tim is handcuffed job wise, but Howard can always put a bit of blame on him so it doesn't fall on Howard.

if this is true then why does howard always refer him as the programm director, and when something is coming up on the schedule programming wise or special wise he calls him into the studio?

I listen every day. I have no idea if Tim is good or bad at his job. And I don't see how anyone else could know that, either. All I know is Poopgate was gripping radio.

Listen to H101 and that alone is inductive of the caliber of job tim is doing on the channels. My question is why does he need to work five days a week. I'd be ashamed to admit I work a full work week and have that lack of original programming to show for it.

So basically he has a fancy job title, large salary, and doesn't do jack shit? Where can I sign up?

Obviously he makes a ton of money cuz he mentioned walking to work. And last I checked, Sirius is located in quite a pricey area of manhattan. And we know Tim ain't walking from one o the other Burroughs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tim "fell" into his job, even before Howard. He reminds of people I have worked for/with, usually executives, who, upon having a conversation with them, you're astounded they are running ANYTHING. And then you find out they don't even have the credentials/experience for their position, they were more or less "appointed" by some other person in power. Don't get me wrong, there is a place for "yes men/women" but they're still infuriating. :)

On another level, we have interns, many of whom work really hard for no money, long hours, verbal abuse, etc. And then there are interns who are always seen having drinks at nearby bars with higher-ups, rumors of BJs, etc. The latter interns always seem to get the nod & praise, eventual promotions, etc. Kinda unfortunate.

It could have been via subway? :idunno:

Speaking of that, whatever happened to that guy who would always call in while riding a bus? Vinnie Favale? Just because Howard isn't on CBS anymore doesn't mean he can't call in and plug Dave.
