Oklahoma City beat Lakers tonight, 121-92. LeBron James has sciatica and has not played this season but he might return next week. Thunder is now 12-1 and Lakers are 8-4. Thunder's only loss was to Portland.

Clippers led Nuggets by 5 points at the half and wound up losing 130-116.

I was disappointed the NBA is no longer on HBO Max. I would watch some of the night games. All they have now is NHL

I hate the Lakers. I like the Clippers. In each conference, Eastern and Western, the top six teams, based on their regular-season record, automatically make the playoffs. Teams 7 through 10 take part in a play-in tournament to determine the final two playoff spots.

Right now the Clippers are 12th, with a record of 3-8. *Sigh*

Clippers led Mavericks by 7 points after 3 quarters, then Mavericks tied it. Clippers won 133-127 in double OT, improve their record to 4-8. Lakers beat Pelicans and are 9-4.

This story gives me a good opportunity to share my favorite limerick. This is attributed to poet/humorist/newspaper editor Dixon Lanier Merritt, although he often denied authorship:

A wonderful bird is the pelican
His bill will hold more than his belican
He can take in his beak
Enough food for a week
But I'm damned if I see how the helican

Impressive run, they really should be 14-2. They barely beat the Rockets on day 1.

In that double OT. If Kevin Durant didn't get fouled out. Who knew what the outcome would really been.

The Raptors are unexpectedly hot. They have won 8 straight. They are quarter-finalists in something called "The NBA Cup" whatever that is (some sort of in-season tournament). And have moved to within 2.5 of the division leading Pistons.

I have watched none of it. I told my son, I will do the same as I did in 2019. I will watch the last 5 minutes of the clinching game of the Finals if the Raptors are winning. The extreme definition of a bandwagon fan.

Suns beat Lakers 140-123. LeBron scored only 10 points. Clippers lost to Miami and are now 5-16 and tied for 13th place in the West.

You got me curious, so I looked this up. The Golden State Warriors had a better regular season record in 2016 than the Chicago Bulls in 1996 but didn't win it all in the playoffs
