Family Affair was one of my wife Teri's favorite shows. She even had a Mrs. Beasley doll. In the series, Buffy's best friend was her talking Mrs. Beasley doll. It was created just for the show but proved to be so popular, Mattel started producing them for sale. A new Family Affair series aired in 2002-03 with Tim Curry as butler Mr. French, a character portrayed by Sebastian Cabot in the original series.

Fifteen episodes were filmed but only 13 aired. The series has never been released on DVD. Three months ago, Robert Marshall posted this "where-are-they-now" documentary:

Ever hear of the TV show Ink? Of course you haven't!

Ink was supposed to be a big hit show, with Ted Danson (fresh from the Cheers! finale) and Mary Steenburgen (his real wife) as journalists. It was a high budget show that was entirely shot on film. And it lasted one season.

Why am I telling you this? Let's go back in time, shall we? It's 1996 or so, and I'm on vacation with a friend at Disneyland in California. Someone is offering free tickets to see a taping of Ted Danson's new hit sitcom. So we get in a bus, and they drive us to what seemed like a land far, far away (it was Studio City). We got to be in the audience for the taping. Every scene had to be shot a minimum of 4 times, because it was all done on film, and there was no video editing. We were there for over 5 hours. It went from "fun" to feeling like we were being held captive. In fact we were; if we wanted to leave, how would we? And the stupid series got canceled.

It actually looks pretty good. I love Tim Curry in everything he is in. I have only vague memories of the original as a child. I doubt I saw it's pilot.

Damn, I liked that show.
I don't think I've seen more than 2 minutes of that show.
I was the only one to vote for IT Crowd, definitely a top 5 for me. The only show in my personal top 5 that's from the 2000s.
Never saw it. It seemed like I'd like it though.
I'm surprised this got 4 votes. Seems pretty old and obscure for this crowd
I used to watch that all the time when I was a kid.
And the stupid series got canceled.
Did you get to see the episode you watched them film?

The episode I saw them film had their pet dog in it. I think it was a bulldog. That greatly contributed to the many reshoots they had to do.

The show went on hiatus around the time that episode was supposed to air. But according to the wiki page, it looks like it may have aired as the last episode in the series (after I gave up on it).

Yes, the last episode of Ink, "Going To The Dogs," aired on May 19, 1997. Mike buys Abby a dog. Hoping to calm the dog down, Kate puts tranquilizers in meatballs – and Mike winds up eating them. He's very drowsy when he and Kate have a meting with Abby's teacher. The series has never been released on DVD and none of the episodes are online. This is all I could find:

I’m working on the matches. Out of 146 nominations, only 122 shows received votes. I was thinking to turn this into a 128 tournament, we need 6 shows with votes with votes.

I’m thinking the ones that receive 0 votes are completely out. Since IRBS, scotch are in favor of Doogie Howser, MD along with me. I don’t know if anyone else that can enough votes to be added to the tournament.

If we can get 5 more nominations with at least 2 votes. I’ll add them to the final slots.

Wait a minute!! The Drew Carey Show, Cleveland rocks! That was a great show, and very popular.

Also, I loved The King of Queens, and we watched Mike & Molly too.

We watched Veronica's Closet for a little while. I'll pass on that.
