I've mentioned it in the Likes & Dislikes thread, but I can't stress enough how great the "tap to pay" contactless payment technology is on my debit and credit cards. When we'd go to the big local supermarket chain, those credit card payment machines are dealing with a customer every 3 minutes for 12 hours a day, every day. And they probably go for years before replacing them. They'd get so much build-up from use, the swipe or insert would only work like half the time. But the tap always works.
And then at the gas station, when it's 10 degrees out, with a 30 mph wind, and you have gloves on, it's a major pain to get a card from your wallet and insert or swipe it, before starting the pump. It's much easier to just tap. I wonder if the security is as good.
