I love The Bridge, but I agree on the high repetition issue. They need to open up the playlist pronto.

I have a bad feeling that the Bridge will be displaced again soon.

Now...if I could just hear "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot for the 12th time, my life will be complete!! ;)

Hi everyone - I've been reading these boards for awhile, and finally decided to register. Anyway...

Sorry to disagree about the repetition issue, but I must be hearing something else. Since The Bridge returned yesterday, I've heard new songs and new artists never before played on the station: Steve Winwood, Alan Parsons Project, Bread, etc. If anything, I noticed an expanded playlist with more variety. Let's just hope The Bridge is here to stay this time. Somehow, I doubt it.:idunno:

I've always thought of the Bridge as not necessarily having obscure artists, but definitely obscure songs. So you might hear Linda Ronstadt a lot, but you're more likely to hear a song like Prisoner In Disguise as opposed to say, Blue Bayou or one of her big hits. I"m hoping it stays that way.

(naturally just now I did a dogstar search on Linda Ronstadt, and 33-Blue Bayou came up :( )

I like what I am hearing on The Bridge... Sure there is a lot of the same artist, but it is still very good to have it back... I have also noticed a few changes to The Bridge as well... 1. They seem to be keeping it more mainstream as opposed to a lot of the "OH WOW" songs that were on The Bridge during its last ride... I think this is being done for two reasons... Reason one is to give folks who have not had the chance to listen to The Bridge the chance to WOW them by playing an alternative mix to The Blend which is more by definition AC... Reason two I think they are going with the mainstream route this time to grab those listeners who also liked Sirius Movin' EZ which at time also played similar artist as The Bridge did. Either way I am glad it is back and hope this time it is left alone. CC

Hi Welcome to the forum.....

We are always happy to have someone disagree, but the DogstarRadio channel plays don't lie. I have not checked today, but hopefully they have added some artist because they certainly needed too. But in reality the artist you named are regulars on The Bridge that I've always known and loved.

crazeecarroll makes a good point though, I wonder if they aren't going to try to shift this channel to play more of the music that was on moving ez.

One thing for sure it is going to take several days for this channel to find itself.

Hey I think Aaron may have sent you a PM on this, but you can also find a lot of information about Slacker in the Slacker forum. :)

Glad our old friend The Bridge is back. Now SiriusXM...keep your hands off it for perhaps a few hundred years!

I'm just glad to have my Bridge back. I have only listened for a little bit (I've been on a Cinemagic binge after discovering it for the first time).

It certainly could use some improvement, but I still love it and I'm glad to have it back. :)

According to dogstar, they played Prisoner in Disguise today though I missed it. I wonder if they read these forums?

At any rate, I'm satisfied now they haven't transformed The Bridge into a heavy rotation mellow top 40 station. It's good to have it back!

Today at my house was "clean-up day", so I had the "Bridge" on all day.....

I will be totally honest with you. I could have not be any more satisfied if I were picking out the choices that were being played.

There were ( as far as I could hear ) no song played twice, yes of cause they do have a tendency to play some artist more then others but from the first time I started to listen way back when, it was always that way ( just like so many other stations ).

There is one of my favorite artist missing Ms. Joan Baez, but I'm sure she will show up.

My thought about the "Bridge" - Let's all be positive so it will continue to let all the great Artist's keep crossing over - :Smiley_wink:

THe Bridge has been good so far. A nice, relaxing channel. If they'd cut back on James Taylor, they'd be perfect! But this channel is programmed fairly well overall.

This was one of the channels I was hoping XM would get when the merger happened. So far, I have liked what I hear, but I do hope they expand the playlist. Maybe with time they will.
