XM Skydock App (Updated Version 1.13)

Last night I downloaded the latest version of the Skydock software (version 1.13). I must say I got all excited when I came up, because I was thinking we'd maybe see some add on functionality. No such luck!

Seems this update was to fix how quickly the category download from the sats.

I did notice this morning that when I put it in the dock that I was able to select channels much quicker so mission accomplished!

Current Sirius user ... planning to move to XM with Skydock...

1). Do you know if Skydock plans to come in any other form... so I can mount the Iphone on the dash and hide all the nasty wires and plugs ?
2). Do you know where to find Itouch/Iphone apps that use the data avail from XM Weather or XM Traffic (eg overlays to maps)

I have no real insight in regards to if they plan to have Skydocks in various vehicle configurations. My guess is probably not. I do think I heard that there maybe a Skydock home version, now rather that could accommodate a auto install I have no idea.

I do not know of any App available that makes use of the data from the XM weather or traffic info. There are several navigation apps some with their own maps some making use of Google Maps. The range from free to a monthly service charge.

The XM Skydock certainly has limitation compared to some PNP radios out there. But for whatever reason I just like it so much better than any PNP I've ever owned!
