Xact XTR8CK always wants to update when turned on

Hi,
My Xact XTR8CK always wants to do an update when ever it is turned on?
I usually have to wait a good 2 min until it goes through the update
process. The radio is a car install by the way.

That is pretty strange. Is it completing the update everytime it tries?

Try resending the activation signal manually after loggin in at sirius.com into your account. Maybe it just needs a good signal sent again. I would say call Sirius support but I am not sure they'd offer much help, but it is worth a shot if you have time to spare.

Hi,
No, not really updating itself, just going thru the update process, which
is taking over 2 mins. Just kinda annoying to have to wait that time
until channel stations become accessible. I'll call tech support Monday
& see if I get any satisfaction.

So did you get it fixed? My Xact 7 started doing that this morning. I unplugged it for several minutes and so far no problems. If it does it again I will try to resend the signal from the Sirius website.
