Cross the bridge to the softer side of rock. Stress-free music from Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Van Morrison and Elton John. Nothing too hard, just great mellow rock that’s perfect at work or wherever you listen online.

What we play: James Taylor, The Eagles, Jim Croce, Billy Joel, Carole King, Simon & Garfunkel and many more.

Channel 27 on XM, 33 on Sirius.

Ah yes, the bastard child of Sirius. One of my first "WTD" channels that I listened to on suggestion upon first activating my Sirius account and it became a preset and favorite ever since. I dont listen as much as I used to, because I have to explore and keep other channels in mind for when Sirius decides to use this channel for some other BS.

This is the channel that made a long time XM subscriber decide to become a Sirius sub. I was in a McDonalds with my kid and they had the Bridge on in the background. I fell in love with this channel.

I have been listening to The Bridge V7.0 now since it came back on Saturday. It was only gone 1 month but I really missed it. It is great background music and is also good 'go to sleep music' if you want to have music on to relax you.

The best version is the one I listened to after it came back last June but before Led Zepplin. Each version seems to be slightly different.

I would give it 10/5 stars if I could. But 5 will have to do.

Finally-- The Bridge is back! I love, Bruce & Paul & everyone else who has temporaraly taken over The Bridge, but I was so fed up with it, I was about to cancel my subscription! Thanks for bringing back the Bridge's regular programming & maybe next time, they can find another station to hijack for special artists!!

don't look now! It's a bad review!!!

Ahhh.... The beloved bridge, the "whipping boy" of SiriusXM. Without it, I think the posts on this site would only be about half. And now its back, and it's on WTD this week. I listened to this channel when it was on WTD on the old Sirius Backstage, From SBS- "I tried to listen to it when they said they were replacing super shuffle with it, and I couldn't stand it. I think you kinda had to grow up on it to like it. Kudos to those who do like it." So I am panning it again. The music is just way too soft, I tried to listen and it just puts me to sleep. I would give it 2 stars, but I am taking a star away because I have had to read about how horrible it is when it gets taken over when it took over another channel to be there. so nanner nanner nanner. :roflmao:

When the merging of the channels came to be, I thought my favorite channel out of them would be Radio Margaritaville which I do like. The Bridge was a pleasant surprise and enjoy very much listening to this everyday when it actually exists.

As a posted yesterday in another thread, I heard three songs within a few minutes that I had never experienced the 4 previous years having satellite radio.

I look forward listening to this at the Beach on vacation. I am confident it will not be taken over again. ;)

Do they maybe use this channel for single artists because it has no DJ's and don't want them to be without a job during that time period?

Long live THE BRIDGE!

This has always been one of my favorite channels.
The only slight problem I have with this channel is that they play a bit too much Joni Mitchell who I really can't stand. I simply switch to something else when Joni Mitchell comes on. Not too fond of Carole King either, but the pros really outweigh the cons on this channel, so those 2 gripes are not enough to lower my score.
5 STARS!

I think it's pretty safe to say that this is one of my top 5 Sirius channels. Too bad it's the "Single Artist dumping ground." Since the XM merger, the playlist has really expanded and I like more now than ever before. Maybe a bit less of Cat Stevens would be OK, but otherwise it's a 5 star channel for me. I have it on at work quite a bit.

I listened to this channel early this morning, I was amazed I got to hear Paul Simon's Loves me like a Rock. I think this is the first time I've ever heard this song on satellite radio...

I think it was TheScionicMan in another thread that said he was out shopping with his wife and The Bridge was on in the store. This is the perfect channel to be played in stores and restaurants. A few years ago, my ex-girlfriend and I want to a restaurant in Pittsburg, KS, and they had The Bridge playing in it. It was nice to hear this channel while eating...:)

Needless to say, when they turned The Bridge into E Street Radio, they canceled Sirius and went to something else. Although I'm not really much of a fan of the channel, I thought it was a bad business move for Sirius to get ride of this channel in place of E Street Radio, or any other Radio for that matter. Although those signal artist channels are nice for a short time, they should used a channel specifically made for SAC...:right:

4 out of 5 Stars...

I love The Bridge. It's been one of my two or three favorites for over 4+ years (when it's on). My enjoyment of the service as a whole takes a hit everytime they remove this channel. But it has happened so many times already, I have no reason to believe they won't take it over again.

A good artist mix, but an even better song mix. Hits + a lot of lesser known songs by my favorite artists.

My parents have been with Sirius XM since last Christmas, and this has quickly become their favorite channel as well.

5 stars.

I love The Bridge and it's been a real rollercoaster ride of emotions when they keep pulling this channel down in favor of single artist or other promotional channels.

I find that The Bridge sounds even better than before...

5 stars! *****

One of my fav channels, the feedback and support it gets on here would; make one think the stuffed shirt know it alls at Sirius/XM would leave it alone- but rest assured they won't. The clock is already ticking on the wonderful Bridge for the 6th time in 3 years....... so sad!!

Alright, time for a first-time Bridge listener, and the voice of reason. The channel is simply awful with too many replays (I heard America like once an hour), too little variety, not very deep, and gosh darn it, you can only play Carly Simon so many times...

If you love the genre, or that type of music, then you'll be right at home. Me, I was tortured after an hour. 1 star...

Carly Simon & America are mainstays of this type of classic music, you do hear them often- not every hour - but you also hear different songs by them- they each had dozens of hits and lp cuts that were popular.. so yes you will hear them often- still a great channel--whats ur fav?

It's the same thing for Frank's Place, or whatever it is now... Sure, they were mainstays, but you have to have a mix... Lithium doesn't play Nirvana all the time...

I liked it more than I thought I would. I like America, Chicago, Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, etc. A lot of the songs are pretty groovy but in a relaxing kind of way. I've actually listened quite a bit this week. I must be getting old. ;)

It's getting a preset(I do have 30 of them ) thanks to Walk the Dog. I wouldn't have checked it out otherwise. If New York can see fit to quit dicking around with this channel It will likely stay a preset.

I just got back from vacation sharing a 5 bedroom beach house with family in North Carolina. The channel of choice by far for everyone to listen to was THE BRIDGE.

My niece did request XM22 (The Mix) on occassion.
