The home of today's country hits and the biggest songs from the past 20 years. This channel is programmed by Clear Channel and carries commercials. It's part of the category, Regional News, Talk & Music. *

This is a Clear Channel Channel...

Commercial are not uncommon....:right:

XM Channel 11

I have not listened to country much since the merging of channels. I took one for the team because of this thread. ;)

I actually enjoyed it somewhat as it played some newer hits which I have not heard plus played the tunes of when I was really into country music in the late 80's early/mid 90's. I did not hear my favorite (Hank W. Jr) but I only listened an hour or so. In that time, I remember hearing two commerical breaks that each lasted a minute or less.

I give it 3 of 5 stars as I may tune in from time to time because of the variety. It would have been 4 of 5 if Nashville was commerical free. (No DJ's though - )

I was kinda curious how many commercial breaks those channels had. That doesn't seem too bad. But, one commercial is one too many, I guess.

Thanks for the review, goreds2!

I did an unofficial study this week concerning commercials on this channel.

I listened from 1am to 2am. A two minute commercial break came on at 1:19am then at 1:42am a two minute commercial break occurred.

The breaks seem to be for two minutes on all the music Clear Channels.

When I use to have XM, I had this channel as a old preset. I enjoy it but when it came to commercials I flipped to another channel. But to be honest this channel is the same thing they play on my local FM country stations. I give it 2 stars because they play commercials.

I put my XMP3 back into my truck, so I have listened a few time in the past week. It's a good channel in that they play some good music, but since they have Highway 16, there really isn't any need for this channel...

The commercials were limited, but there was still about 3 minutes of commercials per hour. Not bad for terrestrial radio, but not good for satellite radio...:worried:

3 out of 5 Stars...:)

I like what they have done with Nashville and frequently listen when I'm out and about with the XM. I like that there is not as much chatter as there is on The Highway, plus they mix in a decent amount of recurrents with the newer stuff. It's really well done.

The commercials don't bother me all that much because I take that as an opportunity to flip around to see what else is going on.
