That was good programming. I enjoyed that one!
It reminded me of "Celebrity Shuffle", which was my favorite show on Sirius, during the SuperShuffle days.

I enjoyed it too, especially since they played a TON of obscure stuff during that show. I wouldn't call it a "countdown" because, well, it wasn't!

I will admit, Mel and Kim's "Respectable" is now unfortunately stuck in the farthest regions in my head. One amazing fact about that song: it was produced by the same production team who gave us (prepare to barf) Rick Astley. Sadly, the duo was short-lived because Mel died of cancer at 23 in 1990.

It was also the first time I heard Cristina's "Everything Falls Apart" on 1st Wave. This song just might be perfect for 1st Wave.

This channel has improved greatly since the merger. It's my go-to channel for 80s tunes. Four stars.

Wow I can't believe I never rated this channel. First Wave is one of the reasons why we subscribed to Sirius in the first place from listening to it on Dish Network. For the first time I got to hear all the great Alternative Music from the 80's I missed because of the sucky terrestrial radio stations in our city.

That said for a good while the playlist had become stale, but I've noticed that they seem to be rotating in some songs that I don't recall hearing before.

First Wave has always been Preset #1 and will remain the "go-to" channel.
