I like Led Zeppelin and all, but let me just say that I can't wait until this station is off the air and The Bridge returns.

It has a great playlist, but I simply despise single-artist channels.

I'm a Zep fan, but this channel is a major letdown. I disagree on the playlist... The repetition is horrible.

Going through the playlist at dogstarradio.com shows that they are playing the big hits to death.. For instance, since the channel came on air, they've played these songs (and many other big hits) an average of four times a day:

Stairway to Heaven
Kashmir
Dazed and Confused
Levee Breaks
Good times Bad times
How many more times
etc..

Add to that, they aren't playing much live or special stuff...

I could rip all the songs off my 5 Zep CDs, put 'em on an MP3 player and listen to them in shuffle mode and I'd have exactly the same thing they are playing on channel 33. I just checked and see they've played Stairway twice already today and it isn't even noon here yet :(

If they're getting payola to play the same stuff over and over, I guess it isn't that bad... It will help the company survive.

I like Zeppelin and this station is nice to have when I need a fix. I listen to it about every other day for a short while, but it isn't something I have tuned in all day.

I have listened a few times for about an hour each time. I agree on the repetitions...it seems they mostly play the big hits and not much rare stuff. My wife, who is a huge led zep fan has never objected after I have changed the channel after an hour or so of listening. This channel could have been really awesome but I think they missed it on the programming.

Believe me, I love the Zep but the repetition is tough to handle. To their credit, I have heard Robert Plant tunes mixed in on occasion and a few Plant and Page, but not enough.

Most of the time the 'interviews' are weak, in my opinion.

I'm happy to be able to always resort to this channel but it is getting old, like me.

I would like to hear bands that cover Zep - whether symphonic or straight up rock and roll. How about a cover channel?

This station is indeed one of my presets, except not because of Led Zep. I like Led Zep just fine but not ALL THE TIME. That is something that dosent set well with me about those single artist channels, a song or two from one artist here and there is fine but I dont want to listen to the same stuff all the time.

This is a great channel for pubescent thirteen year old boys who are just discovering their inner classic rock fans.

For the rest of us...we've heard it all a thousand and one times.

They were a great band, though. Possibly the best of all time. Them or "Sugar Ray." If we had a "Sugar Ray" channel, we could compare and make a decision. :hah:

I can only listen to these single artist stations no more than 10 or so minutes at a time. It would be really cool though to play these type of channels while tailgating before one of their shows.

Like most here, I kinda like Led Zeppelin. However, I don't like single artist channels (at least not as many as we have now). Also, why can't they program this the same way they did as XM LED... the playlist is shallow as hell.

Sounds: umm...Led Zeppelin?

Positives: If you're an ultra ub3r Led Zep fan who doesn't have a multi-CD changer, MP3 CD player, or iPod in your car, this channel's for you

Negatives: Repetition, obviously. I'd navigated to this channel a few times before WTD and caught No Quarter on at least 3 separate occasions. There isn't nearly enough rare live performances and interview segments like they promise on the liners and advertisements

Blastability: Very high. Everything these guys do rocks!

Overall: I alternated between this channel and Classic Rewind for WTD this week and they complimented each other very well. Still it's good the channel's over by the end of the year so focus/bandwidth can be put on channels with more variety

Echoing what most are saying... too much repitition, not enough live performance recordings, single artist channels are a waste of bandwidth, etc.

Having said all that, it is nice to have a channel that is guaranteed to always be playing something that I like. I love all their songs. I just happen to have them all on CD.

My favorites: The Rain Song, Over the Hills and Far Away, That's the Way, When the Levee Breaks, No Quarter, Going to California... many others.

Ready for the return of The Bridge on Jan. 1
