Need a soundtrack for your New Year's Eve party? Party City has you covered: the limited edition channel is taking over Pop2K starting December 30 at 12 am ET and will air through Thursday January 1 at 11:59 pm ET, when it will revert back to Pop2K.

The channel will feature the biggest, upbeat party hits designed to serve as the soundtrack to New Year's Eve parties around the country.

No, it isn't on Sirius 39 yet, it is still Pop2K.

My XpressRC changed to a pretty purple background with an Outback Bowl channel logo! LOL Maybe the Outback Bowl is sponsoring the Party Hits Channel. hehehe

Yeah they tend to make their channel changes in the wee hour of the morning for whatever reason! XM has always been prompt with the channel change times or when they add a special channel like this.

I am listening now on XM online...pretty good so far! A great mix of upbeat music! I also see that XM gets to keep Pop 2K during this channel's run, while Sirius radios preempt
Pop2K...great to have an XM radio now! I'm a very happy guy!

Liking the channel alot. It has the music when you imagine the one drunk girl at the party dancing by herself.

I played this channel at my house last year before going out on New Years Eve. My company I had enjoyed this channel also. We will probably go through the same routine this year.

I gave this channel a rating of Excellent as the music is varied from the 70, 80's, Pulse, 1st Wave type music to Classic Vinyl.

Keep this channel 24/7 as a vacation type music format!

Ugh. Sounds like it hasn't started on Sirius yet.

As much as I love SiriusXM, they still need to get it together sometimes when it comes to things like this.

What a cool mini-channel idea but the ball is either dropped or they just can't decide when or if to do it on the Sirius side.

Come on SXM management, you've made some great moves the last few weeks, don't fall back into your confused ways.

It says it starts at midnight this morning but it sounds like it's still Pop2k.

Rihanna - Shut up and drive and now One Republic - Apologize is playing.

Oh well. Soon Pop2k will be gone so we might as well enjoy it while it's still on.

Can't win with these guys sometimes.........

It's definitely playing Party City now.

Looking at the playlist of the last few hours on dogstarradio.com, it appears Party City started on Sirius at around 3:30 Central time. How pathetic that they couldn't start it at midnight as advertised!
