Hi, Everyone,
In the lead-up to the 2006 FIFA World Cup, XM aired the Final Draw repeatedly for a full day, as I recall (probably on the "XM Live" channel, which is now XM120), as a prelude to the month-long "limited-run" channel that was devoted to 24/7 coverage in English of the actual tournament.
(XM aired this as part of their carriage of XM Deportivo, XM147, which is programmed by Futbol de Primera, who owns the radio rights for the World Cup in the U.S.)
Does anyone know what plans, if any, will be in place for next year's World Cup, specifically what plans there will be to air this Friday (12/4)'s Final Draw for the 2010 tournament?
Thanks,
Bram
