My local FM modern rock station has changed formats and is now broadcasting ESPN Radio. So I'm stuck with an overwhelming load of crap that I can listen to while I'm getting ready for work in the morning. I like to hear enough of the news and weather that I know what to wear, then I want to hear music. So I was thinking about picking up an internet radio so that I can stream in the bathroom (so to speak.) Anybody use one? There aren't too many models that are popping up on a quick web search.

When I shower, I take my old Tao and listen to pre-recorded content on a cheap FM radio. I put the Tao inside the cabinet behind a closed door (to protect from moisture) and the radio outside the cabinet and it works great. Of course, its an older radio and probably not an options with newer ones.

So far, I've been looking at these two, but it seem like there should be more options than I'm seeing.

BB is supposed to have the first one, so I can mess around with it a little bit.

While I do not have one of these, it is probably a really good idea.

That grace one that can get Sirius looked really cool.

While i think it is still early, I woudl think that barring something really strange, that Internet Radio is probably the future of all radio.

If I had the extra money, I"d just have a bunch of Soloist docks in my house so I could listen in any room on the SL2.

I was messing around with one of the Grace radios here and I really liked it. It was easy to use and it makes listening to Sirius really easy. You can also listen to thousands of internet radio stations and you can stream music from your computer. And you can listen to Pandora. And you can listen to HD Radio.

Some even come with an iPod dock.

I have couple of Grace radios and they work fine. Not the best sound quality. I also have an iPod touch that I hook to various radios around the house and yard. Which have better sound quality. You can get Sirius and all kinds of radio with their apps. Just something else to consider.

i don't have a wifi radio, but i am doing what i think is the cheapest route which is buying an fm transmitter and running my internet radio stations through winamp which is broadcast on the fm. i can hear my internet stations in the shower with my shower radio which is something you can't do with a regular wifi radio just yet. the downside is that reception is based on where the transmitter is located but in the farthest parts of the house from my transmitter also happen to be the farthest part of the house away from the wireless router we have so i'm sketchy either way, although i do have some strong pocket radios that make up for reception issues.

I am a big Sonos fan. I get the Sirius Internet streaming on there, plus Rhapsody. You can also listen to just about any radio station that streams. The muti-zone nature of the system is also great. It's a bit pricey if you are just looking for a radio, however.

Those do look pretty sweet. It's a bit pricey for what I need right now, but may look at it later on.

The funny thing is, when we moved into our house, somebody that owned it before had the whole house wired for hi-fi. There was a big block of jacks in the basement near the bar, and wires and jacks run through the walls to just about every room in the house. It was a 1960's version of the Sonos. I just have this image of this dood running around the house in a smoking jacket with slippers, a martini, and Dean Martin kickin in every corner of the house.

That setup had to cost him a fortune back in the day.

The Mrs looks at me funny when I kick the Dino and make a martini. . . . .
I do have some red silk pajamas that I bought for a Playboy party. But you probably didn't want that visual. Sorry.

We were going to have a toga party, steal a couple of shopping carts and have chariot races down the street, until I remembered that I was living in a mostly black neighborhood, and that it might not go over as funny as we thought it was going to be. . . . .
